It was outstanding in every aspect. 1. They responded immediately with a team that had to drive 2 hours to the location of the house. They were there in the afternoon; I called in the morning. Very professional, very knowledgeable. 2. Every single item in a large, uniquely designed home in northern NM was removed and cataloged, including pictures taken of where each item was located. This includes things such as salt and pepper shakers, etc. 3. Everything was driven in semi trucks back down to Santa Fe where each item was cleaned and then brought back up after the repair work was done. This included artwork, pottery, clothes, handmade rugs, quilts, etc. 4. They worked extremely well with the insurance company - very necessary to make sure everything was done and done seamlessly. 5. The workers had to be good at obscure things such as adobe cleaning and repair, Mexican tile, large overhead beams, heavy tile roof... Everything was done well and quickly. 6. This entire job, start to finish, was completed in a little over THREE MONTHS. Unheard of. (And if you don't know, this is incredibly fast.) 7. They encouraged a list of things that weren't done or needed patching, of which there were about 15 small things. They were done immediately. I just can't say enough good things about Paul Davis Restoration!!!

Paul Davis has restored our house to great condition. They are an outstanding company in every single regard. We are thankful to them for making a bad situation survivable. This was an insurance claim, which made it even more difficult, but the insurance company knew the representatives from Paul Davis and the cohesion between what are normally conflicting companies was very solid, thanks to Paul Davis.

It was rather a slow process, but there were many homes damaged in heavy rainfall so they were extremely busy.  They were easy to work with, accommodating.

They were absolutely wonderful. Fire is a very emotional thing. They came in and they held my hand. They said that they're going to take care of everything. They also told me that they're going to go through what can be taken, cleaned and restored. They said that they'll put it in their warehouse and work on it. Everything that's hopeless, they said that they'll bag it and put it in the trash. For everything that might be of some value or interest, they'll set apart and we can go through it. They emptied the whole place. They were just wonderful. They gave us an estimate and the final cost came in considerably below the estimate. It was overwhelming and they didn't make it overwhelming. The reason why we used them was that Paul Davis is very highly rated by Angie's List. The people were so nice. It was a pleasure. They really took care of you and they know what they're doing. They did a good job in every way.

After getting 4 estimates from contractors (all recommended by our Insurance Co.), we used "word of mouth" to locate PDR. Those 4 estimates ranged from @$6,000 to $35,000 --- general comments about these other 4 include unprofessional, unreliable and "promise you anything" types. PDR was none of these things. Their bid was not the lowest or highest, but fairly addressed our needs. We dealt with an excellent PDR associate contractor, Gary Holmes, who epitomized good business practices: professional, thorough, accommodative within reason, prompt, courteous and always available for questions. His knowledge was impressive. He visited and gave us updates almost everyday. His crew was also excellent (Robert Garcia as well as others)--- kept us informed throughout the weeks of renovation. Our only criticism would be that the contract process was too "boiler plate" and we had to work to make sure that our specific requests were contractually addressed. It was a standard form, we think, and "one size" did not fit our needs. The contract eventually reflected both our needs with some negotiation on our part.  Having said that, we would definitely use PDR again, requesting Gary Holmes, for our upcoming projects.

They brought things from rooms that were contaminated and put it with uncontaminated rooms. They hired people that were not trained. They refunded my money and I had to hire another company to not only do the original work but also undo what they had done.
