We met with the contractor and asked whether to rebuild our old deck or to have a new one built. He suggested having the old deck torn down and a new one built. We agreed and are glad we opted for a new deck. We had the underlying support structure constructed with pressure treated wood and the deck built with synthetic Trex decking. He was meticulous and contoured the deck along the curves of our exterior wall. We have a curved wall and fitting the deck took skill. The result is beautiful! He also recommended using more narrow vertical slats for the railing. This gives us an even better view than the old wooden railing. He is skillful, competent, and easy to work with. Highly recommended.
