He did the job for an hour and 15 minutes. It was working okay after he fixed it. It was fine.

We were thrilled with the fix which was minor, but still more than we could have done on our own. John the Plumber is in our fie as our go-to plumber.

Everything went well. Uneventful. Swapped out the piece of copper pipe with Pex. We discussed swapping out the remaining copper piping with Pex if other pieces of copper pipe develop leaks. But, we're going to wait and see. I appreciate John's no-pressure approach. He wasn't trying to sell me any expensive solution.

Fine. No drama which is always nice. John had been out a month ago to replace a piece of pipe that had sprung a leak.

I called John in the morning. He gave me an estimate over the phone and made an appointment for the same afternoon. John arrived a few minutes early, was very professional, quick doing the work and friendly. There were no surprises. He charged what he estimated.

John was really prompt in taking my call and coming over to do an estimate. The problem was in his communication overall. He gave me an estimate of $1850 plus tax to fix a seemingly slow/small leak in a pipe behind my washing machine in the laundry room. I took his estimate and also talked on the phone to another plumber to try to get an idea of why it would be so high. The other plumber thought it was high. I called John back to say that this was too high for me and I wanted to talk about exactly why it was that price, what were the costs involved, i.e. was it parts, labor, what was making it that high, ways of reducing the cost. His response was that he would not tell me why it was that high, and that I didn't need to have a breakdown of the costs or even know exactly what he was going to do to fix it. He said that if he told me that, I could just then tell another cheap plumber how to fix it based on John's ideas. I would not do this and was trying to work with John, not another plumber. I found his tone to be pretty rude and I find it very strange that a customer is not allowed to have any type of cost breakdown for a service, especially when it is so high. He wouldn't even tell me what caused the leak, and as a homeowner I need to know this type of information for my records and for any future issues. I need to know exactly what type of strategies were used to fix the problem as well. He would not tell me any of this. He went on to say in a very defensive tone that he is a professional, has been working for 30 something years, and is licensed and if I just want some cheap non-licensed person to come in, he would charge me for the estimate. He never mentioned a charge for the estimate before, never said there was one or what it would be. Suddenly he was saying he was going to charge me for an estimate if I didn't use his service. If I used it, he would not charge me for the estimate. Another weird cost that is not itemized or clear in any way. I found him overall to be a bit bullying especially since I am a single woman and just wanted someone helpful to deal with. I did go ahead and use him because I didn't want to pay his estimate fee. He and his son came and John himself seemed to only do a couple of hours of work total and then he left while his son did the rest. His son also finished up by doing the drywall after the repair was made. His son was extremely professional and nice. I did not appreciate the overall service and treatment I received from John himself though. I still to this day have no idea what the cost breakdown was for this rather expensive bill of almost $2000 to fix a leak and repair drywall. I have no idea of the cause of the leak or what was done to fix it exactly.

I called and left my information. John called within a few hours. He came out and gave me an estimate to replace the shower faucet vavles and we made an appt. time. He showed up on time performed the service within the estimated time. He did a perfect job, cleaned up after and spent a long time answering questions about future repairs that I will need done.
John is a nice guy, professional and has obvious experience in areas of endeavor. Estimate was right on and I felt was reasonable.

I had several issues that had gathered and John's service was able to address all of them. What was also GREAT was that he sent a crew to work on a Saturday. I was extremely thankful that I didn't have to take off work! The price was also very reasonable.

I'm the kind of person who likes to understand how things work. John was professional, informative and friendly as well. He explained everything in detail and offered suggestions as to how I might improve my household water usage. As a single woman, I appreciate service that is friendly and supportive that I can trust to be in my home. John is the kind of "old fashioned" loyal plumber that sticks with you over the years, and that you can trust like a family doctor. He is completely devoted to Eldorado area residents. I highly recommend John the Plumber.

I was fully prepared for the work. John arrived and took out the old faucet, had to do a bit of drilling, and put in the new faucet. He worked for about 30-40 minutes and gave me a bill that was not itemized. Next time I will ask for an itemized bill.

Began work immediately upon arrival, worked quickly and efficiently. Had enough time to look at and repair secondary "surprise" problem in bathroom toilet. Did not charge labor for extra problem, only charged for parts (which cost was very reasonable). I was pleasantly surprised that his van carried the supplies need to fix my bathroom problem. Original estimate for labor was between $135 to 175. Actual charge for labor was $135.

It took him five minutes to force the handle onto the faucet which he did. I am not certain that it is correct because the hottest temperature should be all the way to the left and it is somewhere to the right but not the far right. I asked him for an estimate on some other much needed work. He gave me some ball park figures and said he would call back with details and exact numbers, but he never did.

John came out to look at our sump pump the day after we spoke to him. He immeadiately knew what the problem was as opposed to the legion of plumbers who had been out to "fix"it. (One plumber just hit the pump with his wrench, declared it fixed and charged $160.00! true story). He called back that night with an estimate, which we agreed to, and came back the following day to make the repair. The repairs called for John to don a HazMat suit and pull out the sump pump, (a stinky, nasty job) take it back to his shop, repair it and re-install it. As it worked out, the pump was irrepairable and a new one had to be purchased. Contrary to popular thought, this did not change the quote! John installed a new one the same day and came by the next day (Saturday!) to make sure all was running correctly.
