Guaranteed Roofing & Sheet Metal

The original contact with Guaranteed Roofing went well enough that we contracted with them to re-roof the entire center section of our house, which is built in three sections. At the time we had a major roof leak that was destroying a wall in our living room. For this they charged us a competitive fee of $5000. One and a half years later the roof was leaking in the same place badly enough that the water was running down our wall like a waterfall. It took 3 months and a phone call from our attorney to get them to respond and honor their guarantee. Now exactly one year later the roof leaks again IN EXACTLY THE SAME SPOT!! Once again, nobody answers the phone. Nobody returns calls and meanwhile we've replaced the sheetrock and insullation twice now due to their incompetence. I am now making efforts to contact them only through my attorney as they seem to have no interest in doing the job correctly and I am really tired of having my living room wall destroyed every 12 or 18 months

Daniel set a date to come and do the work, completed it within 2 days, and made confidant by the 6-yr warranty, I was thrilled and relieved, especially since the monsoon season was about to begin.  Mr. Velarde was considerate, tidy, and seemed very professional in how he went about the task.  I have read the only other review about him and am amazed that it could be the same company.  To date, my roof is fine, and I'm hoping that it will remain that way for several years.  Not only did I avoid having to spend so much money right now on a new roof, but I also hope I've gotten a reprieve for having to do that for another 3-5 years.

The experience started well enough except that the crew was an hour late showing up. Our roof had been leaking and destroying a wall in our living room. Mr. Velarde, who came recommended by another of his customers, assured us that his work would correct the problem for sure. Well, a year later my husband noticed that the new roof was full of bubbles. Big bubbles. We called Mr Velarde and he did come as  per his six year warrantee, but told us not to worry that it was a normal occurrence for a flat roof. Then he added a vent that they had neglected to put in the first time to the center of the roof. The first time it rained really hard the roof leaked in the same original place, only this time the water was running down the inside wall ruining the sheetrock and flooding the carpet. After numerous phone messages Mr. Velarde has yet to return my calls.
