About us

We are a small full service construction company, with 4 employees besides myself. We use some sub-contractors (plumbers, electricians, roofers), we base all labor currently at $27.50 per man hour. I also use this value to compute labor costs of estimates. Woodshop work is billed at $55.00 per hour. We have no minimum billing hours with in 25 miles, over 25 miles we will discuss a trip charge, based on the size of the job.

II can't image there's a better all purpose remodeling contractor in Santa Fe. Greg is honest, fair, innovative and a delight to work with.  The quality of his work is excellent, his prices are a bargain and he stands behind his estimates, even when they encounter unforeseen problems.  We've been spoiled and will never use any one else.

Greg is the best contractor I have ever worked with! I truly cannot say enough good things about Greg and his team. They go above and beyond in every aspect and are perfectionists. I left Greg and his workers with a key and never once worried about them working at the house when I was not there. The job site was cleaned up every night and when a neighbor complained about the noise (despite there not being any) Greg brought her flowers to apologize. An amazing team and extremely affordable! A+++++

We are waiting on electrician who will complete job and Greg is returning to
"permanize" his work.
We would use him again in a flash.  In fact, I have already approached him about another job.

He came and was extremely efficient. The price was wonderful. I got his name from Angie's List and I was extremely pleased with his work. I tried to get in touch with him a month later and left him about two or three messages, but he never returned my calls. He was so good and really a personable fellow and was reasonable. I thought it was amazing what they charged me. I had something else that I wanted him to do on the exterior of my house and could never get in touch with him. It was $300 for a lot of work and he had two or three men out here working with him. The first time I telephoned him he responded immediately. He came out and we set the work schedule. He did the work on time or earlier than he thought he would, so all of that was fine. My only complaint was that I can't contact him again. His voicemail picked up my message, but he never called me back. Everything went well, but I'm just sorry I can't contact him again.

Greg is extremely honest and genuinely committed to doing the work that is really needed, and finding ways to keep the cost minimal.  For example, water was leaking from the shower upstairs thru the kitchen ceiling.  I feared I would have to  tear out the kitchen ceiling, bathtub, bath flooring, etc.  and redo it all, but Greg made a small hole in the adjoining closet wall upstairs and took time to observe how the leak could be happening.  He found there was no leaking in the plumbing as we feared - it seemed that water was just running off the tub rim and seeping between the tub and the floor.  He put in a plastic shield to hold the shower curtain in place and I think touched up the caulk, and solved that problem for about $30 labor.  Earlier he did a very fine job replacing a window, which required reframing and touching up the stucco.  One would have to look very closely to know the window had been replaced; and, the final cost was about $200 less than his estimate.  I truly appreciate that he was honest and charged only what the actual cost was.
He did various other small jobs and did them well and very inexpensively; things like reversing the swing on the fridge door and replacing door knobs that wouldn't work.
We did have a problem in that he was very ill, in the hospital, and he did not have anyone call to let us know there would be a delay, nor did anyone return our calls during his illness.   But as soon as he was able, he called and reset the times to do the work.

While Greg is a very busy general remodel contractor, he always made time for my home improvement projects. He is very trustworthy and a person of integrity. His workmanship and end product is very good as well.
