The original estimate of $150.00 began to slowly creep up. And what was supposed to be a one day job turned into two as he found more things "wrong" with the boiler and parts. What I think was terrible was that he inflated the cost of all the parts substantially and then charged tremendous labor charges for doing very little work. A part I checked on at the hardware store that was $20 was billed to us for $80 and what took literally two minutes to install incurred a charge of $300 for labor on the second day. I could understand if he had to run back and forth to the hardware store, but that wasn't the case. In the end he tried to convince me that the entire heating system would need to be replaced to "ensure our safety" and would probably be about $10,000-- I got another service (Brennan) to come out and they said everything was fine and though our system was old (orig to house) it was working perfectly and there was absolutely no need to replace it. Triple R plumbing is another name Romero uses so don't use them either.
Description of Work: Mr Romero was to prep our boiler for winter and bring it up to code.
