I have dark hair and Michelly is the only person that has ever gotten it to a beige blonde. Ethnic hair is hard to lift but she had no problem. Now I'm a shiny healthy bloooonde thanks to Zia salon.

I got lucky finding Salon Zia! I've been going to Mischelley for about 3 years now and am always super satisfied. She does highlights and a cut on me. I've never loved my color more. She uses Joico and makes sure to keep my hair as healthy as possible. She even gave me a discount so I could afford good shampoo! Who does that? Mischelley does that. She's a great friend now to, very grateful for her!

Mischelley is the only one I will ever allow to cut my hair. I like it short and its super thick so she has her work cut out for her. Doesn't bother her been going to her for 11 years. Always over satisfied! I love this woman and her salon

I will never go any where else! Mischelley is amazing with color and her cuts are so precise! She is super fast at it yet I feel like I've never had such great depth. I really enjoy Mischelley as well. She's so easy going and I felt at home the moment I got there. I'm a very satasfied customer!

I have been going to Mischelley since she first began at a cut above. Years. I have always been above satires with my hair. I have medium length fine hair so I have to be very careful with bleach. She has never left me with unhealthy hair I basically just sit down and she does her magic. She has never gotten stuck in a rut with my style. Always keeps me updated on the newest thing. She gives me such a great cut to give volume but not have stringy ends. Over the years I have grown to adore Mischelley. I call get my adopted daughter. She is a very giving little girl. I live to hear about her dogs and snowboarding. It has been amazing to watch her grow. She has worked hard to get where she is. Best salon in Lincoln county for 4 years could not have come easy.

Now I have one of Mischelley's family members, Jeff Kelley of Lubbock TX, threatening me for a poor review I gave Salon Zia in October 2015.  I have been threatened and insulted over social media since 1/29/16.  Mischelley can thank Kelley for bringing this around again. 

My negative review was well deserved, and within my right to do.  Mischelley loves to put it out there, not everybody is a fan, so sometimes it comes back.  

I had told Mischelley numerous times that I did not want her to use a razor on my hair. Our relationship ended when she grabbed her razor and started hacking.  I told her I wanted to grow my hair out.  I ended up with 2-3" patches of longer hair over 1" patches of short hair, the cut was totally uneven, one side was longer than the other.  I was mortified when I got home and very upset.  It has taken over 6 months for my hair to grow out from that hack job.

Prior to that, Mischelley fried my hair last summer with highlights.  I ended up with a chemical cut, 85% breakage in all highlighted areas, my bangs totally broke off - again it took months to grow out.  She realized it when I returned months later; she apologized, tried to correct the extensive damage and breakage with her trusty razor.  I am sure she remembers that incident.  

I now have an amazing stylist who, over the past 6 months, has worked to correct Mischelley's hatchet job.  I have never had better cuts, highlights and healthy longer hair.  

When I called Mischelley to say I was devastated with her haircut and would not be returning, she said felt bad.  Nobody felt worse than me, I was embarrassed & devastated with the horrendous cut she gave me.  It would have been smart of her to offer me a refund including my tip, but that did not happen.  

To clarify, Salon Zia charged me approximately $100 for cut and color. I always left Michelley  huge tips, 30-35% of services, which she accepted and enjoyed.  So my services usually totaled $150.  My bad for tipping so much.  

Now I have one of her family members threatening and insulting me.  I have every right to give Mischelley a bad review, because a bad review was warranted.  Perception is reality, and my perception is that she is not as talented and responsive to her customers as she thinks she is.  

I see not much has changed with Mischelley.  She is asking for money to help pay her bills after a skiing accident.  I cannot believe people in this community fall for that.  I have never seen a (reputable) business run like this.  Must be a Ruidoso thing.  This is what happens when you have a family member threaten me.

Scheduling with Mischelley is always a breeze.  A quick text message or contact via facebook always results in her texting or messaging back quickly with available dates and times for appointments.  She's always very willing to work around my weird schedule.  Every visit I've had as been pleasant, and she's always been attentive to my needs and desires.  She's a lot of fun to be around and is always positive and in a good mood.  Everyone here loves her!  She's always booked way in advance.  That many customers can't be wrong!!!

Mischelley is the best! Fast, reasonably priced, professional, a master! Best color and cuts. She is wonderful! Highly recommend!

Mischelley is so good at what she does. She has cut my hair and done highlights on several occasions with great results. I appreciate that she is so punctual and professional - keeps waiting time to a minimum. She is a magician with color - have seen some beautiful results posted on Women around town.

I get massive headaches due to the weight of my hair since a car crash in 2008 for years ive been to numerous hair professionals, all i was able to do was chop it short for a breif 3month releif. I asked for a referral on facebook and found Mischelly by popular demand of happy customers all over the county. She is the only one to leave my length and rid my pain.i was in udder amazment my first session with her. The pile of hair upon the floor was huge, but i had all my length and a full head of hair on my head. I couldnt have been more happy! I now can go a full year without the migrains from my heavy thick hair. Its amzing what she can do and did for me. I will never go to anyone else! I would follow her any where for her amazing skills. She is definitely one of a kind, down to earth, and truly talented. I am sooo greatful to have her in my hair :) i will forever give her my business and even tell everyone whether i know them or not to go to her. I have never got any negative feed back from my referrals. she is voted best in ruidoso and that is no lie!!

My hair is really difficult to deal with, super thick and coarse. Salon Zia is the only saoln I have found that is knowledgable and experienced enough to provide me with quality hair care. Mischelley is amazing, super friendly and very detail oriented. She is by far the best there is!!! I wouldn't let anyone else touch my hair.

Mischelley has always made me feel at home in her shop. Not only do I leave with an amazing hairstyle, I leave feeling refreshed and relaxed after a great experience. She is more than a hair dresser; she is a friend. I recommend her over anyone!

Frikkin amaaazing. Mischelley is the best colorist I've ever been to! She is an artist. She did the foils so close I didn't leave with roots!! My cut is flawless! My hair looks better then an actress!!! She is a hair god!!;

I have gone to Mischelley for a couple of years now and wouldn't go anywhere else or trust anyone else to work on my hair. I have a TON of long hair and it takes a while - LOTS of foil and several colors to get it all the way I want it colored, cut, washed, dried and fixed. I am never unhappy - quite the opposite - and enjoy the company and visit as much as I enjoy the beautiful work Mischelley does.
Mischelley is efficient and knows how to get the job done and get me out of there without me feeling rushed or hurried. The price is also extremely fair. I would and HAVE recommended Mischelley and her stellar work to anyone looking for just the basic haircut up to the most advanced color designs and styles. She doesn't let me leave until we are BOTH satisfied with my hair - not every stylist takes the time or effort to make sure they are as happy with the finished product as their client is!
