Roofing, General Remodeling
We entered a contract with the contractor, the contract was half down and funds draw as requested by contractor, which we complied with in the first 45 days.
The verbal timeline was 45 days, at the end of the 45 days he had recieved 95 percent of the funds available for the job, but the job was less than 50 percent complete. At that time the area incurred a severe rainstorm, which caused the roof to leak through the cut made to join the new addition to the original structure. The contractor put a bandage on a severe problem. Following this event we fought with him to even show up to the worksite. Finally in February 2012 we called the county building inspector who posted red tag violations on the job. Upon being red tagged this contractor basically walked away from the job with no further contact with us.
This contractor also uses the company name of Insurance Restoration Services under the same New Mexico lic number.
We have taken over as our own contractor on our project. We have hired an attorney and are filing complaints with the CID and the Attorney General in New Mexico
In our opinion this contractor is a thief who should not even hold a contractors lic. in any state.
