The Carpet Doctor

I purchased a Living Social deal and made several attempts to contact this company both by phone and email.  I left several voice mails, which were never returned - so I looked up the company online and found an email address.  I did receive a response from Todd Siegel via email saying he would contact me to schedule an appointment - but never did. After a couple more email attempts to schedule a time, I finally gave up and contacted Living Social for a refund :(

Todd was unpleasant to deal with on the phone.  My son was here when he came (an hour late), and my son said he was yelling and complaining about being late and came into the apartment and started throwing things around.  He scared my 23 year old son, who said he kept talking about missing being in the military and killing people.  He also sat in the bedroom and talked on his phone for about 20 minutes.  Then he got upset because he had asked me to leave a blank check for "overages" but since my son didn't know my DL number, he demanded cash.  My son refused, and he said if the check bounced that he'd "be back."  Then he dumped out the steam machine in front of my door and I had to clean it up when I got home.  The last guy that came did not charge me any overages.  My son actually went by the police station to file a report.

Todd Siegel showed up exactly on time even though I live in a very hard-to-find area.  He had up to date equipment and a great attitude.  I can't praise the job he did enough for he not only cleaned very, very badly soiled carpets but even went the extra mile to clean parts of the house we hadn't bargained for--at no extra cost.  It was a pleasure to do business with this man and his company.
