The job start was delayed because we selected some Kohler hardware in polished nickel, and the delivery took longer than expected.  Jim didn't want to start the job until he had all the materials in place so we wouldn't be living with a half done bathroom longer than necessary.   Also, once he started our job his time was dedicated to it.  We never had to wonder where he was or if he would be coming the next day.
 The work started mid-february, and was completed mid-march.  Jim and his son did most of the work, with the exception of the shower glass installation and replacing the carpet at the end of the job.  Since we wanted to keep our current carpet, he removed it for storage prior to starting any other work.  We also wanted to keep our cabinets, he did a good job preserving them through the work and spruced them up at the end of the job so they looked as good as new. 
He made good progress each day, and was careful to not make a mess during work.  At the end of each day he cleaned the work area so we could continue to get to the walk in closet.
During the job he consulted us when there were choices to be made before he made a decision.  He would tell us the price difference between different choices, and kept track of requested changes.
When we found out that the toilets we had selected had a revised delivery date out six weeks, Jim found another source that could provide them in one week.
The whole experience was very smooth, and Jim was the consummate professional.  We have some other work we intend to do in the future, and we will definitely use Spam's Construction again.

He is amazing. He did a power wash, he moved the rocks away from the base of the house, so he could get down, even where people cant see, he replaced some panels that had some wood rot and aging on them. He did great.

Jim Spam arrived on time to review the work that was needed and provide an estimate. We walked the exterior of my home and Jim gave suggestions as to what he felt needed to be done. He pointed out areas where trim could be repaired and areas that would need to be replaced. He recommended using a "border" panel on the bottom of the home where the original siding was deteriorating. He provided a time frame but was careful to remind me this job would be "weather dependent" and he would wait for a week of clear dry weather before beginning. The power washing he did was amazing and made a tremendous difference. It was a great way to prepare the house before painting. Jim informed me that the power washing would leave the siding wet for a while and he would not paint until it was thoroughly dry so the paint would be evenly applied to totally dry siding. Jim was very conscientious to paint when there was no precipitation predicted which I greatly appreciated. Jim provided excellent suggestions for the actual color selections and painted large sections for me to see the color at different times of the day and night. He also was able to convince me not to use white trim and I will be forever grateful for that suggestion!! Jim moved my rocks away from my home so he could paint under the "rock line" and then moved the rock back. He did everything he said he would do and more. As he was painting he repaired every panel or piece of siding that he saw, he took such excellent care and has left my home in such a much better condition than when he started. He did a great job, no other way to say it!
