David Gallegos at Mountain Paradise Landscaping has been my landscaper of choice since 2000. David and his crew have always been professional and courteous. They are respectful and very attuned to the voice of the customer. David's ability to conceptualize your project is amazing. You tell him what you want and he will draw it up for you. His prices are reasonable especially because he will go the extra mile to ensure that you are completely satisfied with the job. I have recommended David Gallegos to many friends and family over the years and have never heard one complaint. We got multiple estimates for the job we wanted done. David's estimate was NOT the cheapest (2000.00 less than the highest estimate and 4000.00 more than the cheapest). We hired him on the recommendation of a neighbor who found him on Angie's list and was happy with the work. I believe that you get what you pay for so we were willing to pay a little more since our neighbor had good results. David and his crew took several weeks to get to our job once we signed the estimate and work order, fair enough, we were willing to wait again because our neighbor was happy. Once they were on site everything seemed to be going well, workers were courteous and mostly professional--some loud music while they worked but you should enjoy your work so I didn't say anything. Driveway and patio poured without trouble and they expanded the area originally agreed to for an additional cost (the additional time it took them to get out here allowed us some extra time to prep an area that we wanted to use as an outdoor kitchen). We asked about putting rebar below the concrete and were told it isn't necessary for the load that the concrete would bear. The concrete isn't smooth and were told that the concrete is left rough or raked so that it isn't slippery. I was not happy with the rough appearance but trusted that they knew what they were talking about with regard to slick concrete being a hazard. We followed the instructions to "water" the concrete exactly to the schedule David provided to protect our investment. We asked if the concrete needed to be tarped and were told no, that our climate didn't require a tarp, just keep it moist. The next day, cracks started to appear. David took longer to come out and take a look than he agreed to and when he got here jokingly accused us of driving on the driveway. After some debate and clear lack of evidence (no tire marks or other evidence that we were the cause of the cracking--and of course we don't DRIVE on our patio) he did agree to re-pour the part of the driveway that was badly cracked. David stated that sometimes the concrete mix is not right and he wanted us to be happy. However, he said he would not re-pour sections of the patio that were cracked "unless they were a tripping hazard". David stated that he would repair the cracks in the patio with a "new product" and we "would never know the cracks were there". Repairs to the patio resulted in larger cracks and a darker grey streak that only highlights the cracks (see photos). The cracks are more obvious than ever now. The new section of driveway took several weeks to get re-done because he stated that the first pour had to cure before they could jackhammer it out. Once poured, it immediately cracked again and he stated that he wouldn't do anything further with the driveway. Additional calls after the initial repairs went unanswered. One year later and the cracks are just getting wider and wider in the patio. They WILL be a tripping hazard before too long but I'm sure there is some time limit on those sorts of complaints. The driveway seems to be holding up better than the patio (which is odd since we drive and park on it daily) but there are still visible cracks and they are also getting wider and more uneven. I looked up the general contractor rules for workmanship and you can't report a contractor for a "quality of work issue", only a safety violation (i.e. the tripping hazard comment--he knows what he can get away with) so we had no recourse there. So much money and so disappointed in the work and the response to what is clearly poor workmanship or a bad concrete mix. Take a look at the photos and decide if this is how you would spend several thousand dollars and if you agree that the repairs to the patio would be satisfactory to you.

Great! David's crew left a beautiful painted patio. After 9 months the paint started to peel. After a year, it looks worse than it did before they started. I have called several times and offered to pay more to have it fixed (no real warranty on their work). To date, I have not received a response. Great on new work, F on follow-up and warranty of work.

David and his team did fantastic work. They worked so quickly, neatly and it looks great! Pricing was reasonable and the materials used were very good quality. We will definitely be getting quotes from David again for some landscaping and a patio cover.

David's estimate was more affordable than any other I received. He and his team completed the work in a few days. I am very happy with the results and the quick completion. I WILL use them again!

Mountain Paradise Landscaping did a fantastic job on our new home landscape and the construction of our front courtyard and backyard walls. The owner David, was very helpful in designing the layout of our landscape and plant selection, it came out beautiful!

The crew worked hard and did a great job. Although David had a job foreman, he was also onsite himself every day to answer my questions, make suggestions and work with the crew. He was very accommodating about answering phone calls or texts quickly, even in the evening. Everyone on site was very professional and cheerful. They cleaned up after themselves everyday, and by the end of the job, everything was spotless. David came out several times after the job was completed to check on the work and to make sure everything was completed to my satisfaction.

David and his crew did an amazing job for us. We had them completely landscape front and back yard, put a drip system in, pour cement walk ways. They were very professional and went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied with the work they performed. If you want quality work, someone that will make recommendations and assist you throughout the process of what ever type of project you are doing I would highly recommend David and his crew at Mountain Paradise Landscaping. Excellent.  We talked about what I wanted and he pointed out possible problem areas.  Very knowledgeable.  With all the planning done, they showed up on time, framed it, poured it and now it's curing.  Very professional!!  No wasted time standing around talking about it.  I've got more projects planned for this business.  Very happy with the work they did

Install was good with no problems

We had a great experience and are very happy with our patio. We were contacted shortly after purchasing the deal through Angie's List and we were scheduled with David the following week. Services were completed right away. David was easy to work with and we hope to work with him again to do some landscaping in our backyard. We would highly recommend Mountain Paradise Landscaping.
