I reached out to Robert regarding a complex tax issue my corporate tax office didn’t feel comfortable performing. Turns out the issue was easily fixable, and Robert advised me on the steps to take to rectify the situation, at no cost. Robert was very knowledgeable, professional, and responsive. I will definitely be reaching out to him for future tax related work.

I've done my own taxes on TurboTax for the past 15 years. In 2020 I started a small business and decided a professional may be warranted. Before trying to find a CPA, I plugged my info into TurboTax and found that I'd be getting back a whopping $100. I was interested to see if a professional would really be "worth it". I was referred to Robert Marchand by a large firm near my home, that was no longer accepting new clients. I immediately found Robert to be personable, extremely knowledgeable about taxes in general, and I was particularly impressed by his expertise in real estate taxes. He spoke in layman's terms as he described the deductions and other "magic he could work" - he asked questions that TurboTax never even touched on. I explained that I'm a single mom, and my small business was impacted by the pandemic, resulting in a financial hardship, so I was on the fence about hiring a professional this year. Robert then offered his assistance for "whatever amount I felt I could afford". As the conversation went on, he asked me to also send him my taxes from the previous 5 years.... which he decided we needed to amend. I was blown away that this CPA was willing to review 6 years of taxes without me agreeing to pay a dime (good/nice people still exist!!!). Despite not being a paying customer, Robert answered every one of my calls, and emails within minutes, letting me know his availability was 8am - 8pm. He patiently answered my many questions and he made me feel comfortable. I just received a call letting me know that I can expect to receive $5000 from my amended 2014 - 2019 taxes, and he's currently working on my 2020. I will of course be paying Robert as he is 100% worth every cent; I'm so excited - I can't wait to see what he's able to do with my 2020 taxes. I'm so glad I didn't just go with TurboTax again this year. I cannot recommend Robert Marchand enough A++, he has found a client for life, and I will refer all of my friends and family to this CPA. Thank you for being an amazing CPA and human being!!!

We had somewhat of a tax nightmare when we contacted Mr Marchand. We were late on business taxes for 2015 and we almost missed a deadline for 2016 taxes. Mr Marchand helped us avoid paying huge penalties for business taxes and helped us get our personal taxes in order. They have always been very professional and responsive. I have not used a CPA before so I don’t know how they compare to others in terms of price. We will definitely keep using them.

Great! Fast, professional service

Mr. Marchand did an extremely satisfactory job. He assisted in the preparation of our 2017 federal filing and multiple 2017 state filings, with pleasantly surprising results. We intend to engage his accountant services as long as we are in the Albuquerque area.

Robert was able to provide the advice I needed which allowed me to make changes to our withholding so we would not owe tax at the end of the year and some financial planning going forward. He also completed our taxes for 2016 and found all our deductions (a few we had not thought of) and prepared everything for filing online. I appreciate his expertise along with his caring attitude. He is very easy to talk to and follows up quickly with any emails or phone calls. I would highly recommend his services.

I originally found Robert on Angie's list, noticing a common thread in many of the reviews that (incredibly) described exactly what I was looking for in a CPA: Someone who is extremely knowledgable that I could also trust with my life. I'm extremely discerning when it comes to personal services in general ~ whom I give my money to ~ and with something as complex (and often as stressful as it is important) as business accounting and personal and business tax returns, I want someone who not only knows what they are doing but who has a great bedside manner (it cuts down on the stress!). Peace of mind in both areas means a lot to me and I am willing to pay for it. I can't recommend Robert highly enough. He takes his work helping clients as a personal mission and goes to bat for you every time. I feel his fees are extremely reasonable and he has saved me money every year both on both my taxes and through strategic planning. I do business accounting for a living and I thought I knew a thing or two! Hire him. You will be so glad you did!

We will be working with Robert through our fourth year this year, and we have been very happy with all of the services he provides. Prior to working with Robert, we took our business and personal taxes to two other providers (a tax and accounting firm, and an individual Enrolled Agent). The services we received from both pale in comparison to what Robert provides. In both cases, the work they provided was less accurate, and both would only begrudgingly answer questions for us --usually in the least words possible. In contrast, when we work with Robert, we feel like we have a real partner in any undertaking we need assistance with. He is looking out for our best interests and doesn't mind explaining things. Robert has come through for us in tight situations when time was short. And he has offered clear and logical insight to help us with decisions. We trust his knowledge and experience and are really happy to have found him. We also feel that his rates are entirely reasonable.
