The installation was sloppy and sub-standard. I requested a drip pan be installed under the water heater. They brought the wrong type. They went to get the right type and brought the wrong size. They asked if they could finish the job the next day which left me without hot water for another day. When they returned, they installed the correct size/type drip pan, and in the process left it bent and with screws scattered under the water heater. The water heater was also left smeared with plumbers putty and grease. I had to ask the technicians to clean up the area as they were going to leave the leftover components in my dining room. They still left the water heater smeared with grease and plumbers putty. After they left, I noted a substantial leak at one of the joints the technicians had soldered. Immediately, I called and spoke with Richard Herrera, the owner. Reluctantly, he sent his tech back out that evening about 8:00 pm to fix the leak. It was repaired. In my area, an expansion tank is required on the hot water heater per code. When they installed the replacement water heater and re-installed the expansion tank onto the replacement water heater, the expansion tank was never pressurized. Over the next couple of days, I noticed a substantial amount of air coming out of the hot water faucets. I called Mr Herrera, and he informed me he would correct the problem. We scheduled several appointments, all of which were cancelled by Mr Herrera. After another plumber checked the expansion tank, it was determined that there was no pressure whatsoever. The other plumber pressurized the tank. However, since October 8, 2013, I have had a substantial amount of air in the hot water line at each of my faucets within the house. Several calls have been made to Mr. Herrera and he is unresponsive more than seven months later. I don't expect Mr Herrera to ever correct the problem with the hot water tank. As a result, I am left to live with this problem. Needless to say, I believe this could have been a simple fix by Mr Herrera's company, but for whatever reason, he is unresponsive. I would definitely never recommend Galaxy/Eclipse Plumbing and Heating or Mr Richard J. Herrera (Lic #371298) to anyone.

Three years after installation we noticed a damp spot forming on our kitchen ceiling directly under the unit.  Inspection revealed unit had been installed incorrectly and condensation from the evaporator coil has been dripping into our main air duct over the years.  Duct has now corroded and rusted through due to the standing water in it and leak eventually developed.  I contacted Richard Herrera, owner of Eclipse Plumbing and Mechanical by phone.  He said he has closed his business and could not help me.  I consulted the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department and discovered he had opened another business with a similar name under a different license number.  I contacted that business by email.  He responded and said that both businesses were now closed and he had filed for bankruptcy in November 2012.
It will cost several thousand dollars to repair the damage that Eclipse Plumbing has caused us from their improper installation of our refrigerated air unit.

It turned out perfect. It went really good. It was a holiday and Eclipse Plumbing & Mechanical came out right away. They were super nice and didn't charge us for the part. It was a little more expensive because unfortunately, it was holiday rates. Other than that, always very nice people.

I cannot recommend a company more highly. Eclipse helps give our organization a good name by the caring service he provides. Most of our clients are very thankful for our help and easy to work with but some of those with dementia or other mental disabilities can be extremely difficult. I have personally seen Eclipse provide better and more caring service than I expected. Since we are a charity the owner Rick has always provided us with a discount and occasionally when we have no financial resources he has done some work for free.

With water line turned off at house, they verified that water meter showed a leak. Turned water off; removed water from patio;  and began removing bricks at location where water first surfaced. As soon as they started diiging down, the hole immediately filled with water from the saturated ground. They had to continually shopvac water from hole to make any progress. They placed a tarp on the patio to save the sand that the bricks were laid on. After finding water line almost 4 feet below the surface they now had a large pile of wet sand and another of dirt below the sand. Turned water backon to check for leak. Leak was found about 2 foot closer to house after more bricks and sand and earth was removed. Leak was found to be stress cracks in a straight pvc pipe fitting that was used when an angle pipe fitting should have been used many years ago to match the terrain of my lot.. Leak was easily repaired once found. I was given a quote based on labor and materials that was used so far. It was at the end of the day and the quote was reasonable. I was given several choices as to what could be done the following day after everything had dried out over night and what the charge would be..
Looking at the piles of dirt and sand and the stack of about 50 bricks that had been removed from the middle of the patio. I opted to have them fill in the hole placing the sand on top and replacing and leveling the bricks as best they could. I really did not expect the patio to look very good when they were finished. I felt that it would be good start towards getting it done right. A somewhat different crew arrived the next day that included the laborers that dug the hole and moved the bricks but without the plumber who made the repair. When they were finished I was pleasently surprised to see that it was almost impossible to see that the center of the brick patio had ever been dug up. They had even managed to carefully replace each brick that had been custom cut to fit near a concrete deck support..  i was extremely pleased with the work that was done. The only one I am cussing is the original plumber that built the house. This is not the first time that I have had to make expensive repairs because of work that was done poorly when it was built.

The worker (Dylan) arrived on time, was very professional and courteous.  He assessed what needed to be done and provided two estimates in a timely manner. This company was not chosen to do the work since another company with better Angie's List ratings provided a lower estimate.

They made sure it was working.  I just paid for the installation.  I knew about them from some rebuilding work that I do with Sandoval County.  I called them one day and they came the next day.  They didn't give me any problem at all about installing it.  They just went to work and did the installation.  It took a little more than an hour.  They cleaned up after they were finished.  They took the old one with them, and did a great job.  I thought the price was a little high because the gas is so high these days.

AC unit was shipped from Denver and they started taking out old unit the day before it arrived so we could get cool air ASAP.   We had several people working on getting the AC and heating systems in place, and timing was working perfectly until they started to connect AC/heating to our electrical box.  Turns out that this new AC/heating unit took more power than our old one, and our house was not wired for that.  An electrician had to be called in to upgrade our electrical box.  Eclipse Rep. was very professional in dealing with this very unexpected issues - we ended up splitting the cost of the unexpected electrical upgrade.  The Trane AC/heating units have been working perfectly.  I especially like having the ability to set the timer schedule for the AC or heating.

Realized Friday morning that I needed service on an airconditioner.  This company was the first one that could come out the same day.  They charged for a site visit to give an estimate.

That part was OK.

But the estimate itself was a ripoff--$1000 to fix an airconditioning unit.  Included $40 per pound for refrigerant.  I had the work done today for a total of $250, including $16 a pound for refrigerant.

Eclipse came in $1,000 less than the nearest bid. Other companies wanted to sell me a bill of goods but Eclipse was the only company that actuall looked at my house to professionaly determine what type of air conditioning unit I needed. I called them back and they were here the next day and they did the work the day after that. They arrived 30 mins later than expected and stayed a little later in the evening than I had planned, but everything they did was correct and done well. They cleaned up after themselves and did an excellent job. I am very pleased with the work they did and would definitely contact them again for any other heating or air conditioning work.

Estimator arrived on time and remained the point of contact through out the job, including arranging permit inspection and completing rebate forms. Estimator was thorough, even climbed in the attic to investigate how to vent the new heater. Workmen arrived on time, worked the entire time, were polite and cleaned up the work sites. Workmen took the time to show me where the filters were and explain the operation of the heater and thermostat even though I suspect they were running late for their next job by that point. The work took the 1.5 days that was estimated. We were one night without heat, but that wasn't a problem since the weather wasn't terribly cold.

Eclipse gave us an estimate that was slightly above a competitor, but we felt it was worth the extra cost because they were willing to do the extra work required to have the a/c unit placed away from our master bedroom windows. The workers arrived on time each day, they were pleasant and professional, performed quality work, and found creative ways to solve the problems they came across. The job was estimated to take only a day or so, but it ended up taking them 3 full days - I think they ran across more challenges than they were expecting but they worked dilligently to figure out solutions. We are very pleased with the way things turned out and would definitely consider hiring them again in the future.

Day 1 thet arrived in reasonable time, two guys, tried to snake through tub overflow with no results. They removed toiled and snaked with no results. The put camer down drain but did not see anything. they left to get power machine. The did not return that day but did call and said they needed to det the machine on thursady morning. They left open drain so I stuffed with rags. Day 2 I called the see when they were coming , got someone else , who said he was in charge of crews and would stop by to see what was happeneing. No one showed I called a left couple messages. Day 3 got call late morning that they could not complet the job, but they would have Armstrong Services come out. Armstrong came in Sanked the drain and put bathroom back together and cleaned up Eclipse's mess. Eclipse was not paid a penney.

THEY MAKE AN EXTRA POINT WITH GETTING THE JOB DONE. THEY MAKE SURE YOU ARE SATISFIED WITH THE WORK BEFORE THEY LEAVE. THEY WORK FAST BUT EFFICIENTLY AND THAT IS GOOD SINCE PLUMBERS USUALLY DO NOT WORK QUICKLY.
