Matthew picked up my computer from my home and did an analysis. He told me that my old computer was fried - either the motherboard or the chip was damaged and couldn't be repaired with no guarantees that replacement parts would work. If I bought a new computer he offered to meet me and take the new computer and swap the hard drive, the power supply and any other peripherals that would work to the new computer. He then dropped off my new computer at my home with everything working and all my personal data restored - all for $75!! He did a great job and went out of his way to provide over-the-top service for one flat fee.
Matthew has always been extremely professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He is prompt and accurate in his work and his prices are very reasonable. The issues have always been fixed the first time. He is honest and has told me when a unit would cost more to fix than replace, and has tried to keep his cost low. When he replaced a drive for me, he spent extra time researching the best price for the part that was needed before we agreed to order it. I have never had a single complaint, disappointment or frustration when dealing with him and would strongly recommend him to anyone.

I highly recommend Mathew and Darn-Computer for a positive computer repair experience.
I actually first called him a couple weeks ago when my old computer broke down. He looked at it but it could not be repaired and in any case we were planning to get a new computer. He pulled off all the data on the old computer and told me it could be installed on the new computer when we got it.
We then bought a computer and called him to set it up but he immediately found a broken and faulty part that prevented him from proceeding. We rescheduled.
Finally we exchanged the broken computer and got another one and set up the installation with Mathew.
Mathew is totally prompt, unlike so many repair people you have to set aside a day to wait for. He came in the evening too, which was very convenient.
Normally I would install it myself but since this was the first time we had wireless, I decided to call in help. I looked at the Geek Squad but they cost $200+ for installation and I had heard bad stories about them. I went on Angie's List and found Mathew was only blocks away from my house and he had good reviews.
He arrived on time and installed the computer, wireless, programs, software, and data from old computer in about an hour and a half. He is very nice and clearly answered all the questions I had about the computer and programs he installed in language I could understand.
We are totally pleased. If I have any issues or questions, I will be calling Mathew again and recommending him to friends and at work.
