City Of Vision Eye Care

My exam and glasses were to be paid in full by NMDVR, City of Vision had Auths on file. Then I was told I would have out of pocket costs anyway. NMDVR Disagrees. I have had to file with NCDF & State Attorney Generals Office.

Great - But price for glasses was too high

Anthony was excellent at fitting me and prescribing a good progressive lense.

Thorough, professional, and with understandable feedback. Most helpful experience of this nature I have had, ever.

Terrific - my wife needed reading glasses for a reading table. Other providers could not get it correct and City of Vision got it right the first time. They have our future business.

They got it correct the first time! The reading table required a 17" focal length + there is a small prism correction due to cataract surgery. Our experience with the largest eye place in the ABQ area was not good. we tried 7 times for them to get it right and they never could get it correct.

Called to make an appointment based on positive reviews, they were 6 weeks out. That seems a little excessive. Since I have broken glasses, I will try somewhere else.

Appointment scheduling was about 3 weeks out, but when we arrived for our appts, we got in promptly. The doctor seemed thorough and was personable. The selection of frames is very good, and we were able to easily find glasses we liked. The staff was courteous and helpful. The only issue we had was with the second pair of sport/sunglasses my husband ordered... there have been ongoing issues with the lab filling the prescription, and finally the eye care provider offered to send them to a different lab for us, that specializes in sun/sport eye wear. We are expecting (hopefully) to get the finished product for this pair of glasses by tomorrow, but it's been more than a month of delays.

The place was easy to find and the doctor and staff were kind, helpful and professional. The appt was quick and painless and the price for the service was accurate.

I have visited City of Vision for about 10 years. On this visit I saw Dr. Lisa Edwards; one of her specialties is pediatric ophthalmology. I keep going back to this office, even though it is not close to either work or home, because I like the office and the doctors. They also offer an Optomap retinal scan that takes digital images of your eyes and allow a detailed internal examination of the eye. The eyes can actually provide evidence of many different illnesses, and the images can be reviewed from year to year to see changes in the eye. I have had some recent health issues, and it gives me added confidence that I am taking care of my eyes early to keep them healthy. Dr. Edwards was also very thorough in her exam and really took the time to fully examine and evaluate the health of my eyes.
The office also has a large assortment of glasses, offer contacts, and basically provide all the necessary services needed to help you maintain your eye health. Their costs are very competitive, and they take many insurances.

This was first time at this facility. Staff very friendly and helpful. Saw Dr. Andreatta. Did not think his personality was that outgoing at the beginning. However, as the exam went on, he became much more outgoing. Perhaps it was meeting new patient for first time. His exam (including a diabetic retinopathy exam) was very professional and thorough. The staff members were very helpful in selecting new frames. I would go back to this provider again.

I called for an appointment and was able to get one within 2 weeks. They sent me the paperwork so I could complete it and bring it with me to the appointment. When I arrived, I was seen by Dr Ivey's assistant in about 3 minutes. She went through the review of my existing glasses and I was seen by Dr Ivey right after that. She was thorough in her examination and complete in her explanation of my options. Then I was taken to the Optical Shop and show helped to choose my glasses. When the order came in I was called and went back to pick them up and get them adjusted.
This was a fabulous experience.

They are pretty popular as they have good hours. I like them because they have flexible hours and decent appointment time. The doctors are really nice.
