Ayala & Sons Yard Service

The owner Jorge was asked to trim bushes in backyard and clean up debris and weeds. He was scheduled to come over the weekend but canceled cause his partner couldn’t come so came out Monday, they chopped the bushes in the backyard, way too much for middle of summer. I only wish I could post pictures of my inside garden. I had a huge palm tree and gorgeous vines with pink and purple flowers and a lemon tree that has taken 8 years to grow they were specifically told just lightly trim and take off about a foot of dead stuff from the top. They butchered it, cut all of it to the bare branches and chopped off the top of my lemon tree. I’m so upset. Do not hire them, they don’t know what they’re doing.

Absolutely horrible we have ugly product in our backyard! They spent 700.00 and we got back 500.00 the owner Jorge was never at our home but long enough to poorly chop our Wysterias. His partner did some of the work which we payed him for and fpund out his partner worked the next day to pay us the 500.00 the owner spent the 1200.00 given for 350.00 worth of material. BEYOND disappointed!

Jorge Alaya came out and provided an estimate on the day I called, Saturday.  He  and a crew of 3 arrived on time and began work the following Monday morning. The job took 2 days. Both my brother (lives one house down) and my neighbor were impressed with the work.  My brother hired  them the following week for yard clean up, shrubbery trimming etc. and plans to  use the service again.   I will continue to use  Alaya and Sons for yard maintenence.

I rarely write reviews but I had to write one for this company. On Sunday, 10/04/2015, my mother hired this company to pull weeds and trim bushes in the front and backyard of my home while I was out of town. She gave them instructions in Spanish (because they don't speak English well) and it's her first language FYI. She told them to remove a large cactus that was near a wall that I needed stuccoed. They removed this. They then proceeded to remove ANOTHER cactus, 30 years old and beautiful from the front yard. Irreplaceable. And then they REMOVED a smaller size cactus - probably about 15 years old - from the front yard. How this happened I don't know. Either the boss was not on site, he didn't fully understand the directions, or his workers didn't understand him.

Before writing this review I contacted Jorge, the boss, giving him an opportunity to make things right. I told him that I was unhappy with what happened and asked for an explanation. He immediately blamed my mother and even said how she loved the work they did. Like many moms I think mine was afraid to call them out on their mistakes. I requested that they replace the cactuses and he started to tell me how he would get me a great deal on new cactuses as well as do the irrigation for me. Unbelievable. This guy wanted me to spend more money with his company.


I would suggest to anyone who reads this to avoid this company. They cannot follow instructions and won't even try to work with you to fix their mistakes. Additionally there is definitely a language barrier (Even though my mom speaks spanish) as demonstrated by what happened at my house.

Jorge and his crew cleaned my entire yard in record time, removed large weeds and trimmed everything beautifully. Very professional, prompt service! They will be back to keep my yard looking beautiful.

Called on a Friday for an estimate and he came out later that day.  Scheduled work for the following Monday.

He showed up on time ready to work with 2 others.  Brought an empty trailer for the weeds and made trips to the dump in a timely manner.

All 3 men were extremely hard working even in the heat.

There were NO issues.  Did the job exactly how he estimated.  Even finished ahead of schedule !!!!!!

Have all intentions of using them again and again !!!

Extremely attentive to detail, followed instructions to a T, called me at work to clarify details, punctual, professional, very courteous and professional.

Jorge and 2 of his men arrived about 9:15 and got right to work. They trimmed the lower branches from a tree as requested, pruned all of our shrubs, moved a couple of very large rocks, and removed all of the leaves that had fallen from the trees and bushes. they were here for 2 hours and when they left the yards, front and back, were immaculate. We will for sure be using Jorge for all of our landscaping needs in the future.

Came on time and quickly and did a great job! We were very pleased with them. Will use them again this fall.

He raised a flower bed with bricks. Planted trees and other plants. He also added in some decorative rocks to round out the landscape.

Jorge went beyond and above the service and is very easy and professional to work with. He is the best.

Everything went as planned. He is not all that punctual since I need to lock of my dogs in the house so they can do the work but over all the place looks great after they are through. I over look the time frame since he has no idea what he has to do for the previous person.

They did a very good job cleaning all the weeds from the backyard and trimmed all the trees. In the front yard removed all the weeds and trimmed all the bushes and even moved rock to cover exposed ground cover form earlier plumbing work. I will be using them again for fall cleanup.

The 4/11 appointment was a no show no notice. This was not the first time. I asked him to call if he couldn't make it but he doesn't. I called and terminated the relationship.

It went really well. Jorge came about 11 AM and the job was finished about 4 PM. Looks great.

Jorge Ayala gave us an estimate to clean and trim our yard, front and back. they arrived on time, finished on time, did exactly what we discussed and we were pleased with the work and will contact them again.

I called Jorge yesterday afternoon and explained what I wanted done. He was able to schedule me for 9 am today. He did show up about 30 minutes late. I called at about 15 minutes past the scheduled time and he said he was on his way.
He walked the property with me asking me what I wanted done. He gave me a price that I thought was fair. The work was completed in about 90 minutes. I was very pleased with all aspects of the work performed and would use him again and recommend him to neighbors.

Mr Ayala came the first day we called and gave us an estimate. His crew arrived early to do the job and got it done a day earlier then expected. They were friendly and professional. We are very happy with the results of the work and will definitely call again for work in the future.

Following all the rain our graveled yard was overtaken with weeds. We thought we heard Tarzan one day. We have cedar bushes and a wisteria bush that could stand in for a horror movie monster.
There were 3 men working quickly and doing all the stuff we asked. The yard looks so much better. We will most certainly call on them again.
Bushes are manicured, wisteria is back in the range of reason.

We bought this house knowing that the yard needed attention. Jorge and Laura, his wife, came and gave me an estimate. This was the best estimate that I had gotten so we decided to use their service.
The crew arrived on time and worked steadily. The job was large. The crew was polite and were very good workers. They cleaned up extremely well. We were so pleased!! We intend to use their service again for removal of some more dead/dying bushes and for leaf clean up.

I really liked working with Ayala and Sons and have already recommended them to friends and family. They were responsive and reasonably priced and able to get the job done within a short amount of time after contacting them.

I left before they started doing my yard, but the initial contact was excellent. They responded in a timely manner and came over to give me an estimate. I felt real good about leaving the yard in their hands, but I haven't seen what they do.
