Landscaping
We hired A Touch of Paradise to put in a koi pond with a waterfall and build a pergola for us. Before the work began, I asked them specifically not to dispose of the dirt excavated for the pond over our wall into a unused area that does not belong to us. They did it anyway and I had to ask them. I asked for the stonework around the pond to be mortared in place. They didn't do it and then just slapped some mortar under the stones after I asked them to go back and fix it. Needless to say, the stones didn't stay in place and I have to essentially rebuild it once or twice a year. They did not construct the pergola of the wood that I requested and did not build it in a structurally sound manner. I had to reinforce the frame myself after the nails they used started to come out allowing the 2x6's to separate. Very shoddy work.

Lawn Irrigation, Landscaping
While I liked Bill very much, I am very disappointed in the long results. The product (bushes, trees) died, When my husband and I pulled dead bushes out they were tight ball and there was no mixture of potting soil , they never loosened up the ball for transplanting, and when we removed several plants we also found that his crew did not properly reconnect the drip lines which he assured me would done. I lost a total of 3 bushes, 4 vines and have 2 large trees that have been in serious touble since the initial planting. I called Bill on several occasions and he did send someone out, but the problems remained unresolved and future phone calls made me feel like I was "bugging" him. The amount of money that spent was a lot to us, and I am disappointed that it was basically wasted.
I think that Bill is a fine young man who mistakenly put his trust in a crew that did not bring forth the excellence he promised.
Just as a side note one of the of the legal problems I found was that the the guarantee was one year from the date the contract, not from the date the landscaping was put into ground. That reduced my "guaranteed time" to less than 5 months.

They did a good job. I did have one little issue with the system, but they came out and corrected the problem.
