At first I was not going to go with this roofer and had struggles thinking of what to do. The cost was so much more than a standard roof for my flat roofed house. Oscar was able to work with me and I ultimately decided to go with this company after four estimates and advice from a trusted roofer friend of my family. 
1. I knew the TPO roof would reduce my roof's temperature by 50 percent according to a search I did and found a government article on energy. 
2. Oscar works on the roof and is there all the time so the one who has the license is actually the one doing the work. 
3. He took time to answer all my concerns and worked with me. I know that this is the best roof for my house to have solar too. 
The result: 
My family had been taken advantage before by a terrible man whose nephew had installed the roof incorrectly putting the home at danger. I was just holding my breath during the whole process because of past. I had not been able to turn on the AC this year because of the roof's condition. When the TPO roof was installed, it reduced the temperature in my house considerably. It's only been a few days, but I can feel the difference and was able to work in the hottest most unbearable part of the house. So far, I'm glad I chose TPO. 
The city roof inspector came by yesterday. He said the roof was installed very well....all the seems were exactly great. He also said the bar on the side was put in correctly. He said that Oscar and his roofing company are very responsive and I would have nothing to worry about. He said they are not a flight by night company and that if there is ever a problem, he has seen Oscar respond. It was wonderful to hear that from the roof inspector. I'm a hard person to convince sometimes, but I am relieved because I made a good decision and it's such a relief to know that it is a great roof, will last, and if I have any problems I will be able to contact Oscar and get help. I believe now from my experience that it is so important to have a qualified, certified, good roof installed by someone who has good recommendations. It will end up costing you less in the long run.

work was excellent from start to finish. Weather caused a delay for a few days, but the job was done well and as promptly as possible.

Optimum Roofing was recommended by the solar electric company that we contracted with. I got bids from Oscar and one other company. Oscar's walk-through of our roof seemed very thorough. His bid was substantially higher than the other, but after checking I was able to determine that the cost difference was almost completely due to the difference in cost of the coating product to be used. Oscar took care to explain why he had chosen the material he did and showed us the areas of concern.
Work was coordinated with the solar system provider, to keep the entire process on schedule -- I was kept informed at all stages.
Oscar and his assistant thoroughly cleaned up at the end of each day -- actually much better than many contractors we have used. On the first work day, the cap covering a photo sensor for outdoor lights was dislodged and broken. I pointed this out to Oscar who apologized. When I checked a couple of days later expecting to have to replace the damaged cover myself, I found that it had already been replaced with a new cover! There was no other damage to our property.
I'm quite happy with the work that was done and would use this company again.

Optimum Roofing and Construction paid great attention to detail and followed through. They always asked questions to make sure they're doing the work the way I wanted it done.

Very professional in all aspects of service-- Knowledgeable of roofing types and what is best --We had hail damage from several years ago that we didnt know about-- They told us to contact our insurance company, the adjustor came and did his assessment, the amount to be paid was below what Optimum was estimating --They talked to the insurance company and we are able to get our roof completely paid for --Optimum went above and beyond for us.

Oscar was very professional about the job from beginning to the end. He provided clear and complete estimates for the jobs to be performed. Oscar and his crew consisting of Johnny and Cruz performed the work efficiently and professionally. They consistently cleaned up after themselves, and they went out of their way to perform the extra steps that produced a first-rate result. I couldn't have been more please.
