RC Daycare

For the most part there were few minor issues.  But on April 5, 2011, another child pushed my grandson down on playground equipment.  No adutls oberved the actual incident, but he hit the equipment hard enough that he bit through his tongue from the back right side, down the middle, nearly to the tip.  No one knew what happened until he came in from the playground crying with blood coming out of his mouth.  They did not call 911.  They called my daughter's cell phone; which she told them she could not answer at work and that they should call her work number.  Then they called my cell phone; which was good.  My daughter worked over 20 miles away and I was only about a mile, so she told them to call me in an emergency.  However; it didn't sound too bad over the phone, but it looked horrible when I got there.  The lady holding my grandson was visibly upset and told me that no one had seen what happened.  Their report made it sound like they were watching and did all they could for him unitl I arrived.  The report, in my opinion, was not the entire truth and was more of a CYA.  This report was not ready when I got there, but was given to my daughter several days later when she went to pick up his bloody clothes. They immediately expelled the other child.  We asked if the parents of the other child would cover the expenses or would the daycare?  About three months later, Rascal Ranch's insurance covered two surgeries and all doctor and hospital visits, but to this date (June 24, 2012) we have not received an apology or how's he doing from the parents of the other child.  Also, the daycare's lawyer has made an offer for damages and asked for a release from the doctor, but have not responded in the last couple of months.  My daughter and myself were very disappointed in the way this accident was handled by the daycare professionals and have not returned my grandson there or any other daycare to this date.
