Stucco Service
The job looked good right after it was finished, although they did not put an underlay of fabric on the parapets as agreed, and they did not pull dirt away from the base of the wall before plastering so the plaster would be applied to a few inches below grade. Soon thereafter the plaster started coming off one wall and to a lesser degree in some other places. The business owner returned twice to replaster that one area, but it soon began bubbling again. He said he would not return to fix it again. He argued that there was something wrong with the previous plaster that makes the new plaster fall off. I argued that it was his responsibility to prepare the surface in such a way that the plaster would stay on the wall, and that a good stucco job should last 30 years.
