"Hoover’s was the ONLY one to get back to me and rather quickly. I decided to go ahead and use them. Aaron and Marcos were very professional and polite. Cleaned my HVAC ducts, exhaust vents, and my dryer vent (which was really dirty btw) in a timely manner and put everything back on when they were done. They cleaned up after themselves and even covered my stuff with plastic as they went. They took off their shoes as they came in and put down towels on the corners of furniture and the walls to avoid damaging them. Not sure if they were the cheapest option but they were the best option in my opinion. I’d definitely use them again. Thank you Marshall for answering me back and Aaron and Marcos for taking care of my vents."

Healthy air change per hour, or ACH, rates vary by room, usage, average occupancy, and volume. The minimum ACH that's considered healthy averaged throughout the home is 0.35. However, in rooms where humidity is an issue, such as bathrooms and kitchens, healthy ACH levels are between eight and 15.

To clean an HVAC fresh air intake, start by going outside and figuring out where the intake is located on your home. Then, take a wire brush, rag, or wet/dry vacuum cleaner and use it to remove the built-up dirt and debris that’s accumulated on the external part of the intake.

Air vents should never be blocked. It can disrupt the airflow in your home and make rooms too stuffy, hot, or cold. If the vents are blowing out cold air when you want hot air, covering the return vents won't solve the problem. You either have a dirty air filter, furnace problems, or, more than likely, leaky air ducts that need sealing.

The best way to clean fine dust particles after construction is by combining dusting with vacuuming. Start up high by dusting ceiling fans, walls, window sills, countertops, and other surfaces throughout your house. Once the dust has settled, go over all of your floors with a high-powered vacuum, giving a little extra attention to the carpeting. Make a second pass with your vacuum, and then mop all hard surfaces to get any remaining dust. Don’t forget to vacuum your HVAC returns and supply vents and swap out the filters while you’re there.

Any unexplained smell in your house should be investigated. However, some home odors are "red flag" worrisome because they pose immediate health and safety risks. Odors should be taken seriously when accompanied by headaches, nausea, or lightheadedness. If you smell an egg-like aroma, this is probably natural gas.
