We called Southwest Designworks. Cynthia Patulski, came to look at our property, discuss what our objectives are and educate us about options for this climate. We have two dogs and she is an expert in "dog friendly" landscapes. We discussed pricing and agreed to move forward. She provided us with drawings for more detailed discussion, and we fine tuned the design and approved the final drawings.
The work required complete demolition of the gardens including removing the existing stone and irrigation. A complete new irrigation system was installed and connected with our existing controller. New stone was placed over fabric and new plantings were installed. We had some roses and wisteria we wanted saved, and the work was done around these plants. There were some decorative rocks and a stone path - these were removed and re-installed.
We are delighted with the result. Our gardens are now looking great, our irrigation system now works well and we don't have to worry about it. It is amazing how this design work has changed the entire look of our home. It now looks 100% better! We could not have done this by ourselves and the design made all the difference.
