Excellent service with outstanding customer service. Technician showed up at scheduled time and completed work efficiently and professionally

John came as scheduled, and quickly removed the 29 year old Tappan oven to work on it. He installed the new broiler element I had found on line, and the new hinge also. Unfortunately the hinge I purchased did not include a spring, which was broken on the old hinge, not allowing the door to stay partly open for broiling. I was unable to locate online a source - all web sites were out of stock. John went to the local hardware store and obtained a spring of approximately the right size and stiffness. He made it fit and work properly and quickly replaced the oven in the cabinet. He spent about 3 hours on my job.

Came promptly at 2PM, finished at 7PM.  Fridge took only 1 hr.  Dryer was hard to diagnose.

He immediately knew the cause, deiced the area, and took care of the issue. Showed up on time, did the work, fixed the problem, and was a pleasure to deal with.

He and I identified where the leak was coming from, read the solution. He ordered and replaced the part. Work was done quickly, on time, and very reasonably. At the time, he was very early in his career as an appliance repair man. Exact date of repir is unknown.

got the info from Angy's list, and called him. He was responsive and available at the time he suggested. I liked his service and would call him again when needed.

I'm pleased to find a reputable, fair, and experienced repair person in Los Alamos. John repaired my older Whirlpool Duet washer, which had a broken drain pump. He came by on a Friday, found the problem, ordered the new part, and returned on the following Monday to install the new pump. His price was fair, especially considering that he lives here in Los Alamos County. He made appointments that were convenient for me, and timely. I would gladly use him again for any appliance repair.

He responded quickly, had the necessary part with him, and thE price is very reasonable!

Overall I was impressed. John was able to see me promptly, even though when I called I explained that it wasn't an emergency. He arrived on time to the appointment and got right to work. He checked with me before proceeding with the various stages of work, answered my questions, and cleaned up after himself well. He was affable and able to explain things to my non-mechanical mind clearly. In the end, we determined that the problem most likely lay with the electrical outlet rather than the dryer (all the electric connections in the dryer were sound and there were no signs of electric scorching in the dryer itself). That said, the dryer has been performing well without any problems since John's visit, so perhaps it just needed a tune-up and the worn out part replaced.
I would definitely hire John to come out again. I felt like he worked hard, explored various options when the cause of the problem wasn't immediately clear, and that he charged a fair price for parts and labor. (It wasn't a discounted price, but it was fair and I had no problems with it.) In total, he was there about 3 hours.
