We asked Finishing Touch, Los Alamos, NM to provide carpet and installation services to replace our ~25 year old carpet in 6 rooms - almost our complete home. Estimates were given in timely fashion for a large selection of types. We selected one, then requested deferred installation until 6mos later to allow open windows in warmer weather to air out possible allergens. A manufacturer's sale occurred during this time and FT gave us the new, sale price. A few days prior to scheduled installation, an unexpected visit from our son made the scheduled time inconvenient for us, and FT was able to delay the installation to a more convenient time. Robert and Richard, the installation crew, were highly professional as well as very helpful and friendly. We are delighted with their work, which is much more finished that the earlier installer. Finishing Touch is a local Los Alamos business, and since we like to shop locally with reliable businesses, we did not check competitive prices.

This is a WONDERFUL interior design studio to work with in Los Alamos. At the time I ordered the binds, Hunter Douglas was running a deal where they would do a free upgrade to have and quot;holelessand quot; blinds (i.e. - the slits where the cords run are not there and the blind is strung differently). When they arrived, the wrong blinds had been ordered. The owner was super apologetic and offered to replace them with the type we ordered (which at that point would've meant she'd have to assume the price difference b/c the promotion was over) or to reduce our price to make up for the mistake. Mistakes happen but she was so caring and attentive. Plus, the job was done quickly, with due diligence and at a decent price - especially considering it is Los Alamos.
