Dance Instruction
The instruction available from Dance Arts Los Alamos covers a wide range of dance styles and age groups. We were looking for an organization that matched well with our daughter's young age and thirst to be challenged to learn new moves. She has mostly focused on ballet with the Director (Valerie Silks) and has loved the class. She is always eager to go to the classes, even when she is sick. She has tried one of the Jazz classes, which was really structured for older kids. While she also enjoyed that class, she was uncomfortable being the youngest (by years) in that class.
Because our daughter is involved in multiple recitals during the year in front of large audiences. As a result, we have seen her confidence in dance mature over the past two years. We know this experience translates into greater confidence in other activities.
We enjoy this organization and the camaraderie among the parents.
