Contractor left large areas of roof exposed to plywood during project and was unprepared for rain. Large amounts of water damage occured on the inside of house and attic resulting from the exposed roofline on June 28, 2013. Al-con promised to repair all damage, but workmanship was extremely poor, proper permits were not pulled, and inspections were not completed as required by the county and promised by Al-con. An inspection for the completed roof is still pending because Al-con did not provide the proper photos of the required ice shield for the County's record. Contractor has stated that he has no insurance to cover this damage. My mother and I have used this company in years past with good results and was shocked at the horrible outcome this time. Am currently working to resolve the issues and get the proper inspections and repairs finished with a different contractor through my mother's homeowner's insurance. bad situation altogether. hoping for an amicable resolution to all in 2014.
The cost of the repairs is more than 1.5 times as much as the original cost of the re-roof project.
