Everything was great from start to finish, beginning with making the appointment. The woman I spoke to was professional, but very nice and had a great sense of humor! The technician, Gabe, called me the day prior to tell me what time he would arrive. Well, he was 15 minutes early!! How often does that happen? I had just moved into the house the previous month and had no idea how to start any of the fireplaces. After Gabe thoroughly checked and cleaned them, I got Fireplace Lighting 101! He was extremely patient and showed me step by step how to light the pilot lights without blowing myself up. He was extremely professional, and a great teacher!! I was shocked that I didn't see a review of this company on Angies List, so I had to write. I will be calling them when we are ready to construct our outdoor kitchen, as Gabe advised me of the other services Western Stove and Fireplace offers. And I'll definitely be spreading the word to all my friends!!

We bought a gas fireplace in January. They insisted we pay for the fireplace up front (warning sign number one), and then gave us an and quot;estimateand quot; for installation. Installation costs were MUCH more than the and quot;estimateand quot;. In addition, the installers charged us the full rate ($85 per hour) for their travel time. And it is not like it is a long distance, 20 minutes at the most. The bill for the rough in installation was $1300. Now we are ready for the finish out (installing trim, placing the logs, etc). They have quoted us a $75 trip charge, plus $85 an hour for the work. And I must assume they will again charge us an additional $85 per hour for travel time like they did before.
So, if you use them, don't let them give you that and quot;estimateand quot; stuff. Make sure you get a firm price contract or they will nickle and dime you to death.
