"There belongings were not packed with other peoples. I accidently gave them some boxes from my storage unit that belonged to another customer. I picked them up and brought them back to my storage. They were missing 2 sledgehammers and some clock I believe - which as .001 % of their load. out of 10,000 lbs only 30lbs (mentioned above were not accounted for). I am not posting this to be combative but rather paint an honest picture. Many claims were made outside of the signed contracts 45 day window. I honored all claims that were made within the 45 day window. there move was insured at 60 cents per pound and I honored that. All of their furniture was blanket wrapped. I hired a wood worker to touch up all things. I understand that the client is upset but I can't honor claims outside the 45 day window. the upholstery - I honestly couldn't see how it was dirty, it looked clean to me but i always give the clients the benefit of the doubt and had the cleaned. I spent over 500$ rectifying things. Had they had full value insurance, maybe they could have made claims after the 45 days and got reimbursement - but I am not sure on that. Most insurance companies have deadlines. So either way if they had full value insurance or my 60 cents per pound, I'd still be looking at a 1 star review. We returned 99% of their volume/weight on the day of deliver. they had a lot of nic nacs - so a few (10 or so small nic nacs) were returned about 2 weeks after the move."
