VERY professional and friendly.

Installed 5KW solar electric system.  Works perfectly.

The job was done very professionally.  Every member of the crew was friendly.  The foreman on the job took me to the roof to show me some places on the roof that needed attention to prevent leaks.  Those spots were far removed from the panels.  After the installation I was given a tutorial on all the meters and shown how to read them. The work was completed in two days.  They filed the paperwork to the county requesting inspection and start up. I was extremely pleased.
One other point to bring up that I should bring up is that from the original contact till the job was completed, Sunspot took care of all the paperwork. At the start of the project, I was given a three-ring binder, and as the project continued, I was given additional material to add to the binder.  This company is very well organized and very much customer friendly. When the job was finished, I received all the certificates needed to submit for my federal and state tax credits. Now all I do is conserve electricity as much as possible, and wait for the monthly checks from the electric company

Sunspot provided a customer-oriented sales pitch.  I'd heard two others from other solar panel providers as well as testimonies from co-workers who also had solar panels (not all used Sunspot).  The sales pitch succeeded in getting me past the huge up front payment jitters and truly evaluating the return on the investment.  They were true to their word about how they would handle the paperwork and coordination with the inspectors and El Paso Electric.  Only time will tell if the return on investment proves to be as they said it would be.  Sunspot was not the cheapest provider nor the most expensive but I believe that they deliver value and a professional service.
I think that the only thing they could have done a little better was to make it clearer that the amount of production that mattered was the amount that came into the REC meter as opposed to out of the panels.  There is a difference between what the panels create and what actually gets into the REC meter.  
Overall, it was a very positive experience and I would recommend them to my mother.

We have a ground level installation that is unobtrusive and well sited to maximize the solar electricity generated.
The Sunspot people put together a book that details every aspect of our solar panel installation so that we have a handy and complete reference of our solar panel installation.
I have no doubt that they would make good on their 5 year guarantee and that the solar panel manufacturer would do the same (25 yr guarantee) should the need arise.
 We have told Sunspot that we are happy to serve as a reference and will be happy to have interested parties "tour" our installation.

I thought they were very efficient and very informative.  There was nothing they did that they didn't let you know completely what they were going to do.  They were very, very organized.  They provided a detailed print out of every thing they did.  I think they are great.

They arrived as scheduled and installed the panels in early September.  Since our meter was NOT mounted on the house they had dig a trench from the house to the meter and disrupt our landscaping which they did not restore to quite the original condition but close.  With regard to the panels on the roof, I noted that one of them cast a shadow on a skylight and that the electrical line to the meter had a rather unsightly run along the side of the house.  When I noted these factors during a followup inspection, they came the following week to fix the problems. 
The panels were installed in September and have been operating flawlessly since then and we have not had to pay El Paso Electric  anything.
I found the experience of dealing with SunSpot to be very good.  They were very professional in describing the system and its operation; doing the installation and handling the followup paper work.  I recommend them highly.

Sunspot did a "Smoke Test" on my system once everything was in place, to ensure everything is working as expected. In the coming days, El Paso Electric will be installing my REC meters and then the city will come out to do a final inspection before my system can go active. I know there won't be any issues.
I am pleased with Sunspot's professionalism, performance and price. I will definitely recommend them and use them again in the future. 

Sunspot was excellant to work with.  Payments were adjusted to 3 installments as work  proceeded. Since the installation was mounted on a detached garage roof and power company required a shutoff near the meter that is located on the house several hundred feet away, Sunspot specified heavier gauge wire to be used to ensure negligable transmission line losses.  Sunspot upgraded entrance service to my workshop garage as part of their installation.  Despite limited 100 amp service to my home, we no longer experience brownout effects during the day when big appliances switch on.  Sunspot also undertook the significant design and paperwork involved to satisfy power company, State, county and Federal requirements to qualify for our significant tax rebate and be approved for the net metering program.  Installation was on time and within our anticipated budget.  I highly recommend Sunspot to prospective buyers of home photvoltaic systems.
