Reyes Construction

The job was the most unprofessional job I have ever seen, after paying in full, my wife and I were forced to stop payment on the second installment (~$5000) until Mr. Reyes removed approximately 500 square feet of shingles and reinstalled them properly. Upon the first rain of the season the roof leaked and what's more once the first wind of the spring, shingles blew off the roof because the shingles were not properly nailed down. I reported Mr. Reyes to the state inspector only to find out that he had not applied for a permit (something he told me he did) and it is now obvious why.... he knew that the job would not pass the state inspection. The state inspector had Mr. Reyes redo some of the work and following the next spring wind more shingles blew off the roof due to some shingles still not properly nailed down. The repair that he did were the roof leaked looks like someone did the work that had never even seen a roof, let alone how to properly repair one and we'll find out whether it leaks or not the next time it rains. I would never recommend Mr. Reyes for any sort of work and very much regret hiring him in the first place. Mr. Reyes had an advertisement in a local newspaper indicating that he had 4 or 5 children to support and needed the work and when the first call was made by me he was very eager to do the work so we chose him although he wasn't necessarily the least expensive.... a very poor choice on my part.

This was a nightmare! We had water damage in 2 rooms that we had fixed. We needed the floor replaced and we had used this contractor before and liked his work. This time was completely opposite. First, it took longer than the 2 days they said it would be. Secondly, I have had to call them about the cracked grout work several times. I did the contract with the owner, and he showed up only 1 time in a week, the rest of the time, it was his workers. My grout work is still cracked, and have left messages for the owner to call back, but he has not.
