This company was very down to earth and straightforward. They delivered what they said they would deliver, and accommodated us on a couple of extras that we asked for at the end. The granite they installed looked just like the samples. The photo of the slab they emailed us from the granite supplier's yard turned out to be the actual slab they installed.
What we liked best is that they provided a simple price: quoted cost per square foot times number of square feet needed. No ups and extras. In contrast, Home Depot, for example, wanted extra money to cut out the holes for the sinks, and so much per running foot depending on the edge finish style we desired. These extras would have added up to significant totals, maybe as much as a couple of thousand dollars.
On the other hand, the folks at Decorative Designs said flatly, whatever edge we want, they will cut it, and they will cut out for the sinks at no extra charge. At the end, I asked if I could have baseboards of the same granite to place under my cabinets. They accommodated me, and even corrected some measurement mistakes I made on the baseboards at no cost to me.
We liked that we dealt directly with the team of company owner, Marcos Torres, and his manager, Rafael.
I am a skeptical person and initially had some reservations about giving a 60-percent down payment, but in hindsight, I got a good job and a good deal. Also, you can also hold out the final 40 percent until you make a careful inspection and are satisfied, but I found them fair and reasonable. I noted that the last time I talked to them, they were planning some work for a Marriott Hotel in town.
They also are known as Ceramic Tile and Natural Stone, Inc.
