Furniture Aid very easy to deal with. We corresponded by email, which made it easy
It was a month from the time I dropped off the chairs to Furniture Aid, until I picked them up again. Furniture Aid gave me discount since I had four chairs to do. The original caning was 25 years old, and was broken through . Furniture Aid stained and sealed the new caning. The new caning looking just like original. I was very pleased. The Gomezs were

We didn't hear from Furniture Aid after returning so
I tried contacting them. It is a business run by Rick and his wife so it was a
few days before we heard back. We arranged for a date and time for return of
the table. They delivered it when agreed and the table was not only glued but
had a beautiful new finish. We paid Rick the $300 + $100 for the additional
work refinishing the surface. Initially
we were very happy with the table until the finish started bubbling and
peeling. When the new finish started peeling I called Rick and explained the
issue. He was very apologetic and agreed to address the issue. Upon inspection he was perplexed but agreed
to try again and arranged to pick the table up to correct the finish.
After several weeks and missed connections Rick
returned the table. It again looked very
nice but within a few days it was again bubbling and peeling. Within a month it had also split again. Rick did not ask for compensation on his
second repair but we paid him another $200.
Unfortunately we now have a table that is in worse condition than it was
when we hired Furniture Aid. The gluing
did not hold up over the summer and the surface which was not an issue
initially is now peeling and bubbled.
We did not call Rick back a third time and he did not
contact us to check on the status of his work.
We have decided to hold off on any additional repair until we move into
a house with refrigerated air so the splitting due to humidity will be remedied. We can then look for a craftsman to refinish
the table again to address the current peeled surface.
