Borman Autoplex

I own a Sonata and a Ford and I had been using Borman recently, but I will change again. I had had my car serviced April 30, 2015. At that time, they replaced the power steering pump, power steering hoses and they said I needed a battery and replaced the battery. A little over a year, April 22, I took it in and had it serviced and it was fine. And then, about three weeks later, it wouldn't start. The car wouldn't start. So I called AAA. They come out and jump my car. I had called Borman to see if they could take care of it right then. They said, "Oh yeah." I told them I had the battery, I bought it from them and did it still have a warranty. They said, "Yeah, it had a year's replacement plus prorated after a year for the next year." It's two years, so it had only been 16 months or so. The guy came to jump it, the tech, for AAA. I said, "This battery didn't last longer, I just bought it, a little over a year ago." He said, "You bought this a year ago?" I said, "Yeah." He said, "Well, the code on the battery shows it's a 2012 battery. It needs to be replaced." So I took it down there. When I took it in, the lady, comes over and asks me what do I need. I told her and "besides, I bought this battery last year and my techs says it's a 2012 battery." She goes, "Oh no, we get rid of our batteries every so often and we don't keep them around," and I said, "Oh" But she said, "Let us check it." They never moved it and put the hood up. She comes back and she has a list of numbers and she says, "This is the number," and she circles it. "This is not our battery. It has been switched." I go, "What do you mean it's not your battery?" She says, "Well, it has been switched." I said, "Oh, okay." I just walked out, but I couldn't believe that. She didn't take me over and show me the number on the battery. Evidently it might have been a part number. I don't know, but she didn't take me over and show, "Well, this is the number on the battery and this is this number..." She said, "That's the number right there," and just circled it and walked out of there. I told her, "When I pulled it up last year, I figured something was wrong." It would not start when I went to leave so one of their guys jumped the car for me.  I will not be going back to Borman. I bought a new Ford in 2015, so I've got to deal with them on warranty. If it was switched out, somebody there had to switch it.

Unacceptable. The proposed new battery was not in my vehicle....the old one was...but I was charged for the new one. Luckily something told me to check the new battery. Regular duties at specific mileage was not done; for example, during the 100,000 mile check up the spark plugs were supposed to be replaced and mine were not. Took my vehicle to another auto repair shop and they found the issues that were not performed by the Borman Autoplex. I talked with the Service Manager about the events and he completely dissed my situation.

The rear-view camera sometimes is very grainy. We recommend them. They sort of pushed it on me but I didn't know what was going on. They were very nice. They always made me wait.

It woudl take too long to tell the whole experience, but let's say that I have never had a better experience buying a vehicle. I have s[pent my career in sales and marketing management, and the sale person we worked with is someone that I would have enjoyed having on my team.

Everything turned out pretty good. I did find a few imperfections though. I would expect they would have repaired it in like new conditions.

They did a really good job.

The paint was good but the bumper was not put on right and did not notice it till it was too late!

Sometimes I go without an appointment and can get in other times I make an appointment. They do what I need for my service and I pay and go...

The employees were very helpful. They kept me informed and listened to my concerns very attentively. They did a fantastic job and my car came out looking like new. They were very helpful with my insurance policy. They provided transportation to their Shop upon request. Well manored workers, always willing to tell me how things were moving along when I called. The only negative thing I can say is regarding the time frame (I cannot say it was their fault). The shipping of parts delayed the process by approximately one and a half weeks, which is strange to me because I bought the vehicle new from that same dealer in 2012. I was happy to see the job done right though, I must add.

Excellent. Oil and filter were changed, and all issues professionally and successfully addressed to our satisfaction.

Though I find the prices of labor very high, I appreciated, that from the service writer to the mechanics, they are professional, punctual, honest and very well trained to diagnose your vehicle problem quickly. I had just used Pep Boys to charge and repair my A/C the day before. I had previously realized there was another problem causing my vehicle to overheat and cause the A/C to shut down. Bormann diagnosed the problem with the thermostat the next day and repaired it. I was not happy that Pep Boys had not diagnosed it as I had tried to explain that the temperature gauge was showing hot prior to them doing the A/C work. They refused to listen to me because they said they would check everything in some type of inspection and test before recharging the A/C. They did not catch the Thermostat, and the next day I went to and quot;Borman Autoplexand quot; whereupon I told them too of the heating problem I still had! They listened!
I had them do my brake work later, and though I thought them as being high priced on the brake work, they did very professional and guaranteed work which I appreciated. I learned that so as to 'guarantee their work'...they would not just turn my rotors as I asked. I insisted my vehicle was old and not driven much, but they held their ground. I did not take offense as I understood they did not want to see me later just because I was willing to just get by avoiding new rotors at the time...

It took nearly two weeks for them to complete a relatively simple repair of my AC motor. I was nickel and dimed about the expected completion date and what the nature of the problem was. Each time I had to extend my car rental. What finally got them to finish was that I went into the shop in person, spoke with the manager, demanded to have my car put back together without the faulty fan motor and the part that they had removed given to me. They were able to fix my car by that evening. They claimed that they had installed the new fan improperly. This wasn't the first time I had poor service with their repair shop. I would avoid using them if at all possible.I

The service was fine. I will continue to use them while the car is under warranty.

They did good work and did it on time.
