Approved Roofing

I called the roofer and he answered and responded the same day. Upon his arrival he located roof jacks that had never been sealed by the builder, and sealed these jacks which were the cause of the leak in the roof. All was accomplished in the same day for a reasonable price. The other roofer that was highly recommended on Angies list never returned my call.

The owner arrived on time prepared to give me a paper copy of his estimate. He was very professional and honest. It was decided that the old roof could remain. He explained his whole process providing me with pamphlets that gave me additional information. Because my roof was so large it was done over a period of time. The entire roof surface was washed prior to the start of the job. It was important to let the surface clean and dry before work began. The noise was minimal. From time to time I did climb up to see how the job was progressing. The ugly old roof was being transformed into a beautiful white reflective surface, reflecting 81% of the suns rays. Almost a year after the job was done my house is quieter and the electric bills are much lower than last summer. The air conditioning units on our roof are not constantly running as they had been in the past when the temperatures go up to 100. I would recommend Approved Roofing to anyone who needs a new roof.

Hector owns the company. He is a general contractor and a roofer. He did other work too. He was there about three weeks ago.  Hector came out and told me exactly what he would do and what he would not do. He told me how much it would cost and when he would start. He was very straight forward and I like that. I would give him top marks across the board!

This year, I have come to discover, that when they repaired the roof, they covered up the damper for my air conditioner.  Because this damper can't be closed, in the winter my heat grows straight out the roof and increased my heating bills drastically.  As an experienced roofer, they should have known NOT to cover the damper.  In 2010, I was going to have Approved Roofing replace some ceramic tiles on my bay window and parapet.  After some consideration, I decided that I couldn't afford the job at that time.  The owner, Mr. Arreola, was harrassing me with phone calls at work.

We bought a preexisting home six years ago and discovered several cracks and leaks in the roof after our second monsoon season.  We had contacted several roofing contractors, but Hector and I really connected after our first meeting.  He gave me several options and did not pressure me into the Cadillac fix. They performed repairs as quoted. They were timely and always available to answer questions. And when they finished, did an exceptional job of cleaning up after they were done. At the time, my job was in a state of flux; plus, the cost of interior repairs precluded us from considering more extensive options.
We may still go with a more long term fix, but right now our house is watertight for the next couple years. I’ve talked with several people both from work and personal acquaintances. There seems to be at least two philosophies on flat roof repair, 10-year (forever?) or 3-year (recurring). I am totally confident in Approved Roofing to do the job needed for the right price.

Approved Roofing was very responsive from start to finish. They were always available to answer questions and suggest alternatives.

They were some delays, he did not have some specific parts for the job. Overall the job was done very well. I would call him back.

It went very smoothly. We had three bids, and we chose this one because it promised the most bang for the buck. Work was done promptly as agreed upon, the installers were professional, and we are happy with the product at least so far.

Bought a house. Seller was supposed to get roof done before closing. She didn't do it. This roofer agreed to go to court with me if I needed help to get the roof paid for by the seller. Very honest man!
