No complaints about the gentlemen who did my roof.  They did a great job.  The sales man, Steve Cox, quoted me a price of $4100.00.  The trouble started when the roofers showed me the color of the shingles.  They were dark green with black specs in them.  I order white shingles with black specs.  Called the man who sold me the roof, Steve Cox, and he agreed to knock off $200.00 making the total $3900 plus tax.  I get the bill and it is for $4500.00.  Called and called to have Steve Cox get in touch with me about the cost.  It was not what we agree upon but he never returned my call.  I would not pay the bill until that man called me back.  Then I get a letter from Southwest Siding stating it if I did not pay my bill they were going to put a lien on my house.  So I paid what Steve Cox and I agreed upon to begin with - $3900 plus tax.  Two weeks later, they have not cashed my check.  Called the office - the woman who answered said - " Oh you want us to cash this check?"  I calmly told her I did.  They next day the check was cashed.  To get this situation put out of my mind, I wrote a check for the remainder of what they billed me.  Three weeks later and they have not cashed this check.  I will probably have to call and have them cash this one also.  I will admit, I did not get this bid in writing.  What burns me the most is that Steve Cox would not call me back and discuss this matter.  I guess in their world, the customer is never right.  I will never use this company again nor will I refer them to even my worst enemy.

It was a disaster from the beginning. I was quoted a price for and paid for heavy duty materials, cement slab to be pour sloping away from the house.
Carport was built with standard materials.
Cement was attempted to pour level. It drained UNDER the carport and stayed there.
The cement man and company representative were both told before the pour it was wrong and they did it anyways.
After several calls and complaints and final call to owner, they came out and attempted a quick fix, with horrible results.
They continuously delayed, put off and flat refused to fix it or take my calls.
Finally found out they had not permitted the job and was able to get the state inspectors to come in, they had them redo the cement.
Took me a year and a half to get a lousy job fixed and it was still a lousy job.
PLEASE DO NOT BE TAKEN IN BY THIS COMPANY. STATE INSPECTORS TOLD ME THIS IS NOT THE FIRST FOR THESE PEOPLE.

I would hope we have nothing more to do with Steve Cox DBA Southwest Siding.  The work he performed was sloppy and unprofessional at the very best.  The house his 'crew' re-roofed' is next door to ours and belonged to my deceased grandmother.  My mother have been working day and night trying to get it ready to sell. The interior is looking great although Mr. Cox comes along and totally ruins the roof.  The shingles were paper thin (not even close to the weight that came offthe house).  Mr. Cox assured me that all three tab shingles were rated the same.  Well, I had already done my homework and this too was a lie by Mr. Cox.  Everything that was mentioned to him on the completion of the roof, he seemed to have some excuse which were all lies.  I am quite sure after we contacted the city building inspector he changed his tune, with the city, but not with us.  At this time he is un willing to make things right on the roof in order to keep a customer.  With him it is all about making money....and only the crooked way!  I have searched the State of NM Construction Industries Division with his license # and shows NOT FOUND.  HUMM wonder if that means he operates without a license.

I had Southwest Siding re-side my home with aluminum siding.  The materials are great and have held up well.  The workmanship, and professionalism were horrible.  There were several areas that needed to be redone multiple times.  The contractor became annoyed with our complaints about sub-par work, and threatened to put a lean on my home if he was not paid for the work as is.  I contacted the city inspector to take a look at the work, to make sure my requests for justified.  The city inspector found several things which weren't up to code, and the contractor never got a permit for the work in the first place.  These people were horrible and I will never use their services again.
