CORRALES KENNEL LLC

Exceptional from start to finish. These folks are true animal lovers, kind human beings and reasonably priced. I first contacted them to set the appointment and worked to get the paperwork completed. Upon arrival I was given a tour of the amazingly clean facility. They played with the dogs during the day, fed our one dog his special food, and groomed them upon completion. This is the BEST facility I have ever used for this purpose.

The staff was quite helpful, caring and understanding when we dropped him off. The facility was clean and very well organized. When we picked him up he was clean, healthy and energetic. He adjusted to us and his return home was as if we had not left him there at all. He obviously felt at home and loved it there. Our dog stayed at another facility on a shorter trip previously and was returned to us acting "differently" and it took a couple of days to return to the "normal" dog we knew. Not the case at all at the Corrales Kennel. We highly recommend them and will consider them as family when we need to keep him taken care of in the future.

The folks at Corrales Kennel feel more like extended family than just a place to take my dog. They are extremely caring & I know my dog is safe in their care. She loves going to "camp"!

This kennel is not a doggy spa. There are no play groups or swimming pools. The facilities are old but clean, and the staff seem very caring. I boarded my two small dogs there for 12 days after visiting the property and getting a tour from the front office person.  Everybody I encountered, from the owner to the office staff, were very pleasant. My dogs had never been boarded for more than a couple of days, so I was worried about how they would do for nearly two weeks. I was out of the country, so my daughter called a couple of times to check up on them, and they were doing well. I had requested that the dogs be groomed on their last day. They came home happy, healthy, and clean.
I was given a price list (which another local kennel keeps secret) for boarding and services, and I was charged only 50% for the second dog in the same kennel as her sister. If I ever need to board my dogs again, I won't hesitate to leave them at Corrales Kennel.

I used them for grooming and overnight stays. They are great; they are nice and caring. They have taken good care of my dog. Generally speaking, I wouldn't use a kennel for boarding- I was so uncomfortable with it.I go with them because they will walk your dog and play with your dog while they are in boarding which most places don't do. Their charges are very reasonable compared to other places and I trust them.

I like them. They like dogs. It's not like it's a business; it's more like it's a passion. They're very courteous and customer-oriented. They take good care of your animals. You can trust them.

Even though our schnauzer's coat was completely out of control they were able to do a wonderful job of grooming her. we will definitely be using them from now on

When we turn off the main road to Corrales Kennel, all of our five four legged furry children start whimpering, as if they are saying, "Hurry up, we want to go on vacation too, because we like it here."
Dan and Judy do a great job running this great boarding facility, and we would not go anywhere else to bring our 5 Champion dogs. We used to use another place, but after they took an "attitude" about how wonderful they are, we quit using them. Upon the advice of someone I know and trust who boards her dogs at Corrales Kennel, we took our Shih Tzus there, and have NO regrets about the care and attention they receive from Dan and Judy. 
Recently, about a month ago, we were returning from a trip and would have been at the Kennel well before closing time. However, there was a huge wreck on I-25 that had all four lanes closed. We called Corrales Kennel, told Judy what was happening, and surprisingly, she said to not worry about being a bit late, just be safe and get there when we could, which was about 30 minutes after their normal closing time. Now, how many businesses would do that? 
Being "In the Business of Business" as the Executive Director of one of the largest Chambers of Commerce in NM, I am keenly aware of and preach Customer Service to all of our members. In my opinion, Corrales Kennel goes above and beyond in taking care of both their two legged and four legged customers. They get an A+ from me, and I recommend them to all of our members and non-members who need boarding and grooming services for their dogs.

This is the second time we've boarded our two dogs at Corrales Kennel.  This time in particular, the owner, Dan, did a wonderful job of assuring that our two rather large beloved companions were well cared for, properly fed and clean and ready for us to pick up.  As a matter of fact, they were much cleaner than they should have been and their personal bedding was well cared for by staff so it was not a mess when they were given back to us.
We could tell that our dogs were happy and had no issues upon returning home, including no stomach problems, etc, which was a relief.  Dan is a very patient and caring professional kennel owner and I highly recommend him for your boarding needs.

We used to use Corrales Kennels all the time for our malamutes.  Dan and the staff at Corrales Kennels were great and handled our dogs really well...caring and responsible.  NO worries leaving our dogs with them!  They were able to handle large dogs when lots of other places did not.  The only reason we are not using them anymore is that they were so far away and we no longer have our BIG dogs.  We have been able to find good boarding facilities closer to home for our new smaller dogs.  But we would use Corrales Kennels again without reservation.  We have sent other to them.

I've been taking my dogs to Corrales Kennels for 3 years. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. One of my dogs was quite ill for a few months, and they took special care to help him eat and be comfortable when I had to board him. They do a great job grooming, as well. They're very courteous - they return phone calls, answer any questions thoroughly, and always call me when my dog is ready to be picked up after grooming. I love them and will continue to use them for boarding and grooming!

When we moved to Corrales 15 years ago with our two Aussies we found Corrales Kennel. Since that time we are on Aussies four and five since living here, one of which will turn 14 next month. We absolutely love the service provided and the people who provide it. Over the 40 years we have been married and seven Aussies this is the best kennel/grooming experience ever.

We love the groomer, she is so good with our dog. She takes such care and time. Our dog is fluffy and she has long hair, and most places will just shave her down, but here she takes her time to get all the knots out. Our dog doesn't mind all the pulling and tugging. They are a little more expensive, but they are worth the money. We will continue to take her there.

Having moved from Santa Fe and having found a trusting and great groomer there, we were concerned about finding a replacement in this area. We were really concerned due to the fact we used a groomer in the past who apparently abused the dogs she groomed. (This we discovered after the fact.) We had noticed our dog hated to go to the groomer. Upon picking up our dog from Corrales Kennels, this was not the case. Our dog acted happy and seemed to love all of the personnel there. Cindy did a fantastic job and gave our dog the best cut he has ever had.

Dr. Gutierrez is a kind and caring veterinarian. He followed up twice: on Monday and again on Wednesday following the previous Friday's surgery based on some test results and a phone conference with my Vet from New Jersey. Dr. Gutierrez is careful and thorough to make sure the animal under his care receives the best possible care. He leaves nothing to chance and I found him to be highly ethical. 
 I feel fortunate to have found him as a result of a conversation with a woman I met in Bernalillo while walking my dog down by the river. She had small children a dog also and recommended Dr. Gutierrez as her personal favorite. We had an extended conversation as to the kind of Vet she believed him to be. 
I also called four other Vet offices in the Albuquerque area and was surprised to find out that Dr. Gutierrez was the most reasonable priced and this was after I had already made the appointment and met Dr. Gutierrez. I was having second thoughts and went to the office and met his staff and came away feeling much more confident about trusting them with my dog's care and I'm so glad I did because they were wonderful!!
Jake is fully recovered and back home in New Jersey. We will be spending summers in New Mexico and I am comfortable knowing I have found a good veterinarian to handle Jake's needs as well as the needs of my kitties who also travel with me to New Mexico.
