I love the Saturday service! The gentleman who works the sprinkler is wonderful. He will always try to piece together a sprinkler before having to replace the whole thing. On this particular day I needed 3 sprinklers repaired and was only charged for one. He checked the rest of may sprinklers for leakage. Since you pay by the 1/2 hour, and we had 10 minutes remaining he offered to adjust my sprinklers so they would be more efficient and wouldn't water my sidewalks. Great experience.

I called to have an appraisal of my front and back yard completed which at the time was all dirt (new construction). Mike (the owner) had come out that same day, which was wonderful. I'm a work horse myself so to see someone come look at our yard so quickly thrilled me! Then, it went down hill. He wrote up an estimate and said to call whenever we decided on what type of landscaping to do. My husband and I came to a decision that day, and called back to arrange an appointment to have both the front and yard done. It took four phone calls to finally get some answers. Mike is the only one to who schedules the work done so his sales associates/receptionist is almost worthless. She had no idea when he was coming to complete the work, nor seemed very helpful in getting the answers. There was also a gentleman we spoke with over the duration of these phone calls and said "I took your information and he will call you back" - no call back. After two weeks we finally get ahold of Mike and his response was "I scheduled you guys the day I came to see you, no one told you?" - Nope. He said he scheduled us for a Thursday but if he could fit us in, he would come on Tuesday. They came on Tuesday, hooray! They had absolutely NO idea what they doing with our landscaping, which gave me that warm, fuzzy feeling of comfort. My husband told them they're sodding the back yard, and stones in the front with some flower/boulder decorations. They rototilled the back yard, front yard, pulled SOME of the weeds, laid the tarp, threw the rock, and left. Does that sound like everything I had appraised? No, it was not. They did not put my boulder/flower decorations by the door. They did not sod. Called the nursery, told them what the workers did and what they did not do. I was told "we are busy, we're getting the sod, we'll fit you in when we fit you in". I could not believe it. I was never treated like this before in my entire life, let alone such a "reputable" business. I was LIVID at this point. I have a dog who wants to play in grass, yet I have a muddy, dirty, rototilled back yard... With paw prints on my floor. Made of mud. Everything a woman could dream of. Now, the rain comes. Still lovin' that back yard, might I add. Finally get ahold of Mike after about three more phone calls. I was told, "we're waiting on sod. The rain has stopped them from cutting it and I am one of many". Totally understandable, however, when I called to have my sod taken care of last week, there was NO rain. Honestly, I don't know what to believe. We were planning on spending over $3,000 to have our landscaping completed but clearly he does not want it. Extremely unprofessional, response time and punctuality is TERRIBLE. I wish I would have went through a different landscaper to avoid this entire mess. Now, to end this Nobel Peace Prize review, I have called Guthals Nursery and spoke to whom I believe to be the owner and was more than pleasant to speak with. She took my information and said that her and her team takes care of every customer and that she'll get my yard taken care of as quickly as possible. She was completely honest with me in telling me that they are in their busiest time of the year and that it might take a few weeks, but at least she told me the TRUTH. And for that, I can wait.

I have had my back and front yard done through Hamilton and believe that the only reason that they are so busy is because there are not many options in town. The work that eventually gets done is good but the wait to have someone return a call, let alone get the work scheduled or done is frustrating. The only reason I said that I would use them again is if I really needed the help. Apparently the owner (Mike) is the only one that can schedule anything so that everyone else that answers the phone is pretty much worthless because they cannot even guarantee that you will get a call back that week. I was also told that I would get a call whenever someone was going to come by to start the work. I came home from work one day to find a bunch of people in my front yard. I was happy it was finally getting done but I would have liked to be able to give my neighbors a heads up to move their cars before rock started getting thrown around.

We have made serveral attempts to contact someone to help us with our Landscaping.  We have the money, but this company obviously doesn't need it.   Not only have we left serveral messages, but we have also gone out of our way to stop in at the shop looking to speak with a contractor.  All there is a girl that keeps apologizing for them not getting back with us.  This went on for over a month. Finally gave up and went looking else where.

I received a quote for some hydroseeding. The price was reasonable so i called back to schedule the performance of the work. I called mid week and had not heard anything by the next Tuesday so i.called back in the morning. I was told that they would be out either the next day (Wednesday) or Thursday morning. They did not come Wednesday, so i called at about 9 AM Thursday and was told that Mike Hamilton would call when he got in. I called back several times and was told he had not been in yet. At about 1 pm i called again and was told Mike was at a rotary meeting. I explained to the girl in the office that i had stayed home from work so i could be there when the work was done, and that the day was more than half over without so much as a returned phone call. The cutoff for this work in this area is 15 October, so time is now critical. After my last phone call, i did get a return call from Mike Hamilton. He asked me if i told his office worker that i had stayed home from work to wait for him, when i said yes, he said "what did you do that for?" Before i could say i wanted to ask questions about how to ensure the grass would germinate and survive a long winter, he said "find someone else to do this job." When i asked why he said "because i am mad." I tried to ask why he was mad since i was the one waiting at home all day when he told me he would be at my home in the morning. He then repeated that i should find someone else to perform the work, and then abruptly hung up on me. I immediately called Guthals landscaping; they said they would be out tomorrow or Saturday. I'll post a review on that experience as well.1 15 October 2011 Update I called Guthals nursery on the afternoon of the 12th. They came out on tthe 13th and did the work, and were very courteous, for the same priceas Hamilton's.
