The contract was for tearing down our existing garage and building a new garage attached to the house plus a metal roof on everything. In June 2008 they came and procede to work. The old garage came down quickly and the frame for the new garage went up pretty quick. But then things slowed down and it seemed like forever to get anything done. Every step of the constructio was done by a different person (I can't say contractors, because I'm not sure they were. The Garage was still not done in December. During the roofing, the roof was tore of and stood open for a weeks with rain. The water leaked thrugh the tarps that they had tried to put up and was leaking into the living room staining the drywall in the ceiling ((Mike didn't seem concerned about it). The stucco job on the garage exterior today is all cracked as it appears they put on too thin a sand coat, and according to a good stucco guy, it wasn't applied properly. The trim was never finished. There was trim that needed to be installed over the brick facia and over the garage doors. He did not finnish the rain gutters that he started to install. On his last visit Mike said he would be back to finish this, that and the other thing, but never showed. After having a chance to inspect the work and realizing the way things wre done, I was just as happy, he didn't. We wound up with a big lesson on checking out your contractor before you hire. The one good thing is that the metal roof came out pretty good.
