We had several contractors out to look at our air conditioner and every one of them said we also needed a new furnace. When Randy Knott came he told us we didn't have to replace it, it worked fine! All we had to replace was the outside unit and he cleaned our furnace coils - works better than ever! He saved us over $1000 by doing that and we appreciated his honesty and he wasn't just out for more money. He was super nice, got the job done quickly too! I only call him now and recommend him to everyone.

Technician was honest and very polite. He came in and explained in detail about the unit I have and what he was doing and how I can keep my unit working properly with minor things such as changing my air filters regularly. My husband and I are smokers and I work with wood, so he explained that we should check our filters twice a month instead of monthly. He also explained how we can prevent our unit from freezing over on cold days and how to keep our utility bill from being raised as long as we watch our filters and never leave the unit off on a snowy day when we're gone. For it would freeze an important part in our Trane unit that would cost us more. At first I didn't get it but he explained that on a cold day to set our unit on auto heat at 71 deg. On a hot day to set our unit on auto cool at 75 deg. I've recommended friends and family and they too have had very pleasant things to say. RK is a small company in Carlsbad, NM but they are honest and reliable. They also sell Trane units which are rated the best in HVAC units. I love how they come and troubleshoot the problem and fix it and charge for what they did for you with details and helpful ways to keep your unit running smooth. I've personally have asked around and found out that other places will just tell you that you need a whole new unit which could cost thousands, and RK will be honest and tell you if it's just a thermostat, condenser, compacitor, or if you really do need a new unit. They sell Trane units and personally I wouldn't go for any other unit. RK Air and Heat is by far the most honest and fair HVAC/Service and Sales I I've seen and heard of in this town. They may be small but their honest work will get them far. To me its about quality and honesty. I recommend them to anyone looking for services in HVAC, and for purchasing a Trane unit.
