I have taken all my pets to CAC for many years, and have always felt like they were in good hands. One of my dachshunds reached and quot;that pointand quot; when he was 16 years old. It was almost impossible to do, and I had to have my daughter take him in. My daughter was 8 1/2 months pregnant at the time, and he was a stout old dog. Dr. Payne was wonderful. He explained every step, carried my dog out himself, and sent me a sympathy card. It made an awful time a little easier. CAC is the only small animal hospital in town I recommend, and I have had a wide spectrum of animals, from a kennel full of show German Shepherds to rats. The clinic is clean, the staff is professional and compassionate and I have never had a negative experience there.

The vet had a horrible bedside manner. My cat was frightens and therefore could not be examined, but I was given cans of crappy cat food and told he would have to eat that food for the rest of his life, I felt like since they were unable to examine my cat they were not in a place to offer any recommendations on treatment. I haven't been back to that place since.

We have used Carlsbad Animal Clinic for over 20 years and would not consider going anywhere else. We use them for both dogs and cats. On this current visit, we had to euthanize our old dog. Dr. Payne, Dr. Weldon, and the staff were very compassionate in this difficult situation. We have used Carlsbad Animal Clinic for everything from shots to surgeries to cat grooming. We have always been extremely satisfied. Dr. Heinrich, Dr. Payne, and Dr. Weldon are all excellent veterinarians with many years of combined experience.

We had a cat neutered and vaccinated. The price was reasonable and the services professional. What has made me a client for life, though, is how Dr. Heinrich treated us as our dog was dying. He tried to save her life, and when we all realized he could not, he helped her die with compassion and treated us with the same compassion and dignity. When I reviewed the bill, he had tried his best to make it as financially easy on us as possible. As my husband was leaving with our precious dog, he expressed his sympathy. I cannot recommend this group of people highly enough.

Everything went as expected. I have used Carlsbad Animal Clinic for over 20 years. They are very professional and caring. The vets are very knowledgeable and have many years of experience. Their prices are not cheap; but, then again, I want the best for my pets and that is what they give me.

We will definitely continue to use them.

Overall, I could not be happier with Carlsbad Vet, they always make me feel like they care about my pets. They are always so polite and nice. When I go, I never wait more than 5 or 10 minutes. They always answer all my questions and make sure I understand everything and am happy when I leave.
