Pearl Mechanical was superb. They advised me on what would work best in my home, as the educated me on various options benefits or drawbacks. The installation, a "from scratch" job, was done in two days - quicker than I ever imagined. Delightful to work with and highly professional.

Well. They are folks we have used before, and they installed our heating system.

I converted to HVAC system in 2013 and used Pearl Mechanical. Pearls husband Al came to provide estimate and he was the only company that provides detailed quote for all parts and labor. Costs was reasonable and selected them for work. I am not only satisfied which the product but also the work. When I had concerns on some patch work on roof where old swamp cooler was Al had it addressed immediately. This was a stressful time for my as I was out of town and needed a replacement since old system had caused water leak and cave in. All work was taken care of.

I was recommended by family that this company is reputable but they are not. Initially they gave me an estimate which was outrageous (over a grand) so I decided to buy most of the parts they recommended. ( I am a teacher and try to save) They did tell me the parts were not "guaranteed". So I bought the water heater, gas line, expansion tank and the few other parts they said I needed. In the end, they did not confer with me about those new parts I bought and they only used the water heater I bought at Lowe's but not the new parts (their choice) It seemed like they were trying to save me money, which I appreciated, but now my water heater is leaking from the top. The owner Al, came out, tightened it and said it should never leak again. It did, so I called him again and he said he would come out and fix it. This was 2.5 weeks ago, (water heater is still leaking all this time BTW) NEVER said "Oh by the way, we are charging you labor plus the part." I assumed since they did not use the new parts I bought, that that was on them. I called him and tried to work it out. I told him that when I called him the second time he did not tell me upfront he was charging me labor and that I needed to buy the new part. He decides to call me two days BEFORE to say, "Oh btw, I am charging you labor and parts." I did not appreciate him not being upfront. Nooooooo, I was sadly mistaken. This company IMO is all about the $$ and not good customer service. Now I have to call someone else to come out and do the job they SHOULD have done in the first place! I am so disappointed because they came highly recommended. Don't try to reason with Al the owner either, because he will try to make you feel like it is your fault, he will raise his voice and yell at you, he even had the audacity to say to me, "Oh, I knew you would say that." as if the situation was my fault, when clearly, it is not. I even tried to work it out with his wife Pearl and she was just as rude and inconsiderate as her husband. She was so rude, she told me she didn't want to talk to me and said I should talk to one of her workers instead! Umm, WHO OWNS THE BUSINESS?! Her and her husband or their worker?! I have NEVER worked with such unprofessional people. His only concern is making that dough and not great customer service. I do not recommend this company.

Quality of service for the spring and fall changeover service went well. The serviceman, Mat, was very knowledgable. 
My problem was the cost of service. I entered a 1-year contract with Pearl Mechanical on May 1, 2015 to provide the semi-annual heating and evaporative cooler changeover, and annual tankless water heater flush for a total of $198.I misunderstood the terminology of the contract, and was charged an additional $182 for the evaporative cooler service.
When I spoke with Mat during the October 14 service about this confusion, he spoke with Andrew at the Pearl Mechanical office and told me to expect a refund for the overcharge. No refund arrived. In following up, I learn now that the contract that I misinterpreted did not include the evaporative cooler service, and that I had to absorb this service charge. I was told that I was the first customer for Pearl Mechanical to service evaporative coolers. I feel that I was misled. Caveat emptor. Live and learn?

THIS TECHNICIAN DID A WONDERFUL JOB.  REPLACED A PART ON THE A/C,  WHICH HE SAID WOULD PROBABLY BE NEEDED BY NEXT SUMMER.  IT WAS MY CHOICE TO DO THIS NOW.  ALSO CHECKED CARBON MONOXIDE LEVEL IN THE VENT.  THIS WAS NEVER DONE BY ANY OF THE OTHER FOUR COMPANIES I USED.

They were very expensive. I'm not sure that I would use them again.

The radiant heat system had stopped functioning.  Matt Trujillo came out and identified a problem in the automatic exhaust vent shutoff assembly.  The system started working immediately but stopped again two weeks later.  Al Trujillo (Matt's father) quickly identified the problem as a short caused by the metal cover over the vent shutoff system.  He removed the cover and the system has worked fine since.  I like Pearl Mechanical because this family owned and operated company is so responsive.  They care about getting it right  and are a pleasure to work with.

It went very well. They're just really nice people. Matt was the person who did most of the work. They were very nice to work with. They did a good job. It's still working 2 years later.

They knew what they were doing. They were professional. It's a family business and their technicians were quite good. The technicians were Indians and obviously have been doing the job a long time and they were very, very good at what they do. It's located in the same area that I live in.

I was quoted a firm price that was well below the other quotes I got from other companies (3 others). Al, Mathew, and their crew arrived punctually and installed everything in two days. I was amazed at their efficiency and even more amazed at how clean they were. I thought the house would be unliveable, but to the contrary, I could barely tell they had been there. They also dry walled and mudded a huge hole where a wall heater was removed, which I assumed I was going to have to do. Can't say enough good things about their efficiency!
Regarding the Coleman unit that was installed (combo propane heater and AC): The work was finished at the end of March, but due to the power company's 2.5 month delay (not Pearl Mechanical's fault in any way!) in upgrading our power line, we had to wait until June to turn it on. Al actually told me he only wanted half the money and would wait for the other half until we could test it, but I took a chance and paid him in full anyway.When I finally called him in June to say PNM was done with their upgrade, Mathew showed up the very next day to start it up. It's been only two weeks now, but so far my wife and I are absolutely thrilled at how the AC works! We will wait and see how the heater works this winter, but I am quite optimistic as it was fired up briefly and seemed to work perfectly. Al told me some tests still needs to be performed next week to ensure there are no leaks in the gas line. I doubt they will find any problems as I don't smell any gas, but I'm confident they will fix anything found. I have no idea about the durability of the unit and the work, but for now we couldn't be happier.
This company is wonderful! They were honest, efficient, moderately priced, and a pleasure to deal with in every way. The installed system works beautifully so far, and I am confident they will continue to provide support in the event of any problems down the road. I highly recommend them!

No problems.  They were on time and knew what to do.  We were happy with the the charge of $90 and will definitely call them again.

I got up one morning to find water under my laminate flooring in the living room.  I called my insurance company, and they sent someone out to determine the source of the leak.  Found it was the a/c unit, which was leaking underneath.  The restoration company referred me to Pearl.  He came out THAT AFTERNOON, quickly found the source of the problem (clogged drain pipe), repaired it quickly, and only charged me about $200.  I could not have asked for better service.  I would not HESITATE to call him again!!!!!!

I'm writing this review long after the work was done, because I want to say how much I appreciate their professionalism. With every piece of work, the job was explained to me, and a fair price was negotiated before the work started. In a couple of instances, there were problems discovered after Pearl finished. In every case, they returned, did a comprehensive repair, or additional work if needed. In one case, Al came and worked a half-day to make the job 'right'.

They came out on schedule. It was two brothers. They were very diligent. I happen to have the control for the thermostat on the lower level and the heater that has the problem was upstairs. One was trying to figure out the problem and the other was coming up and down to check on the thermostat. They worked really good as a team. I was very pleased the service. I would definitely would use them again if I have a need to. I think they were very professional. They were very good. I was very pleased with them. I had a good experience with the company. It is a family owned business and it is right here in my area. I would recommend them.

After looking at 2 other companies and their bids we decided upon Al and his son to do the work as they seemed the most professional and were also the least expensive at around 3700 (one company quoted 8500, another 5600 for essentially the same work). The other companies also said it would take at least a week before the install happened. Pearl Mechanical said they had a 3 day guarantee from the date we hired them and they were spot on.
It should also be mentioned that other companies tried to "upgrade" me and sell me fancier (costlier) equipment. This is all fair and well but it was Pearl Mechanical who set me straight and specified that the upgraded HVAC system would not even work at my house since the unit is on the roof and not inside. The only option in this case was the more basic model.
Concerning our experience with Al and son, they were on time and very courteous to myself and wife. We asked them to keep an eye on the dog when we left to run and errand and they said they would be happy to. They cleaned up after themselves and were quick with their work.
Unfortunately our 25 year old duct work on the roof was weirdly configured and the job wasn't done by the end of the first day. Al was very apologetic and said he would bring out the proper duct work the very next day. He came early the next day and an hour later we everything was up and running. Sure it cost a little more but we felt the Pearl guys were an  honest bunch so we didn't mind. That being said, it was still 1600 less than 1 company and 5500 less than the other. All this with a 10 year warranty on parts AND LABOR and we felt we got a great deal.
We will def be recommending Pearl Mechanical to our friends and family.

It's been good having them to rely upon, and we are more than happy with the quality and price of their service--they are good people who do good work.

I like them a lot and they are very good.

Pearl replaced an old furnace and swamp cooler with a new furnace and refrigerated air.  The electric work needed by the a/c unit was coordinated with their installation and inspection and approval took place within a day.  I have since called them for other work and have been totally satisfied.

They did a good and fine job.  They are prompt and clean up after themselves.  I never have to do anything after they leave.  Their pricing is fine and I would recommend them to others.
