Serviceman informed me that back brakes were ok. I advised him that they were making a grinding sound when the brakes were applied. He told me that it must be wheel bearings and could schedule an appointment for replacement. I opted for a second opinion. Took my elsewhere and after inspection was advised and shown that the brakes were completely worn.

My wife had two flat tires on her SUV parked in the driveway. A neighbor helped inflate them so we could drive the vehicle to the tire service. The tire service said they would take a look and it would be about 45 minutes. We left the vehicle and called back later. It was ready for pick-up. When asked what they found they said one tire had a straight in and out puncture and the other tire had a sheet metal screw in it. They simply plugged each tire and charged me $35 total. I thought that was reasonable. The tires were fairly new. When I need new tires I will probably buy them there.
