My dogs and cats have been patients at Artesia Animal Clinic since the late 1980s. I have always been very happy with the veterinarians and all of the staff. They have taken care of my pets from infancy to the rainbow bridge. I feel our small community is very fortunate to have such a skilled and caring facility. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

They saw us right away.

They are very nice but not very good. Very expensive. They take care of domestic animals, farm animals, all diagnostic therapy. He is also a researcher. He is a published researcher. He has a broad skill of knowledge in terms of current research on treatment of all animals. Dr. Young is up to date, all the current research. My experience is that he explains to the pet owner completely what is the best course of action for the pet at the various price ranges. He guides them in the best choice.

Attended her right away as we were a walk-in. Hooked her up to IV, explained what they were going to do, the prognosis, asked details about what she might have gotten in to and allowed me to stay with her until they sedated her. Kept her to watch her and gave me the on-call nurse number to check on her. She made a super recovery and was extremely friendly with all the staff when we left so I know she was well attended during her stay. I am very pleased since my puppy is 50 lbs and not a cute fluffy dog that everyone would be instantly attracted to because of her cuteness. They really are thorough and professional!

Do take your animals to Dr Young

Dr. Young takes care of our pets but he kind of takes care of the owner at the same time and that makes sense, making sure that we understand what is going on and if something is wrong he is very careful about how he presents the information. We think they charge $25 for a basic checkup. We don't know. We always have other stuff done while we go in there. We would continue to use them in the future.
