Aguirre took 5 hours to put the wrong fluid in my cooling system and they knocked off the parts on my new transmission and caused the transmission to leak. They made me pay for an unprofessional service and I had to have my Jeep towed to the dealership to repair the damage they did to my new transmission.

I love this shop! I learned of this shop through a promo for oil changes. I had no idea a shop was so close to my office. They actually drove me to my office while my car was in the shop. Father/son team are and quot;car guysand quot; and employ people who are also competent. Since then (3 years ago), my car has only been taken care of by Keith and his team. This last visit was for a A/C issue and oil change. They discovered multiple A/C issues and called us during every step so we were informed. Which is another plus, they actually take time to explain the issues. My car is 9 years old, so issues will come up. But, with a dependable shop, I feel confident to drive my car. The price jumped up due to the expense of each A/C part. While the price was high, I KNOW my car has been competently taken care of. This is an efficient, professional, clean, courteous shop. I am a long time customer and will continue to be one!

Great service overall. What you get with these guys is competence and a guarantee. There's a reason they have so many positive reviews. In this town, there are a lot of fly by night, underpaid, undertrained auto shops. A shop like Aquirre is the exception around here. They are straight with you, stick to their estimate, do it on time, and know how to work on cars. They only use quality parts. Owner and son are down to earth, and they offer a AAA discount. I had to go in for a readjustment after the brake service, but it only took thirty minutes. You can get work done in Las Cruces for a lot cheaper, but when I went that route in the past, I ended up wasting time and money with incompetence. For example, I wasted money on all new wiring and spark plugs at a cheap place in town when they misdiagnosed why my car was stalling. I ended up discovering on my own that the ignition had been recalled and was the true source of the problem. Somehow I doubt Aguirre would have failed to check for recalls. My philosophy is do it right the first time and spare yourself wondering whether or not you can trust the work being done on your car.

They replaced a flex plate for an automatic transmission that was falling apart and making lots of noise within 10 days.

Out of frustration I joined Angies List after feeling I had been taken advantage of by the last auto service shop and had not fixed the oil leak. Augirre Auto Service was one of the top shops listed which helped me decide to give them a try. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the service man at the counter. He explained to me in detail what he believed the cause of the oil leak was and how his shop was going to fix it.
The reason I took so long before writing a review was that I wanted to be sure the oil leak had been fixed and I'm very happy to report that after six months I have not seen the oil leak reappear.
Aguirre Auto Service may be more expensive than other shops but the quality is well worth it. Based on my own experience it can be more expensive in the long run to take it to a and quot;cheaperand quot; shop when they fail to fix the problem.

Good experience from start to finish!

We used them years ago. They do excellent work! We used them off and on for years. When they say something is wrong, then they actually fix it. It doesn't go wrong again. They are thorough with their work. There prices might be a little high.

My daughter lives is attending NMSU which about a 4 hour drive from our home. The driver's side window wouldn't come back up after it was lowered all the way. It was near 5pm and my daughter wanted to drop it off at the shop before they closed. She got there about 5 min before closing. They stayed after closing to process the paperwork to repair the car and arranged for one of the employees to give her a ride home. They fixed the window the next day and also noted the timing belt was cracked and needed replacement. Their service was prompt, professional, and reasonably priced.

The auto needed an oil change so I called Mr. Aguirre and brought it to him on an upcoming day I selected. I asked that they do whatever preventive maintenance was due, in addition to the oil change. He called soon and said it was past time for the timing belt change that was recommended for 120K miles, but warned that it would be pricey and we could not have the car back the same day I had brought it in. He said that it would be about $1,350. I told him to go ahaed. The vehicle was ready late the next afternoon but our schedule prevented us from picking it up that day. We went to do so the next day and found it ready to go. He noted that they had found the right engine mount fractured while replacing the timing belt and had replaced it as well. It has been driven since without the noise we had begun to hear prior.
