The end result was great in every respect. We have used it now for the past 8 months, including 2 large dogs that run and play on it constantly. It has showed no signs of wear and the turf has remained perfectly in place. No issues with matting anywhere. The turf backing is perforated so you can water trees and shrubs easily.
The turf requires very little work in the way of care---generally using a leaf blower to clean off leaves, twigs, etc that come from trees/bushes. I use a garden sprinkler to water trees and shrubs and that also serves to keep the turf clean.
