Hello, my name is John Barks. I am the owner and hands-on operator of West Mesa Sprinklers. We do all kinds of sprinkler repair and installation, lawn sprinklers and drip irrigation: sprinkler heads, valves, leaks, timers, remote controls, wiring, add-ons, conversions (from manual to automatic), nozzles, troubleshooting, checkouts, filters, regulators, rain sensors, emitters, piping, freeze sensors- for residential, commercial, municipal and golf courses.Although I started West Mesa Sprinklers in 1981, I worked in the golf course construction industry for a few years prior to that, for a total of 47 years in the landscape/ irrigation field. We do residential sprinkler repair, as well as shopping center, apartment complex and golf course sprinkler repair. And our sprinkler repairs are guaranteed.

The original installer must have learned everything he knew by watching bad YouTube videos. John came and replaced the valves, relocated the anti-syphon piping and did an amazing job cleaning up a landslide of mud. He had to dig out four feet of mud to find a leak that had been running for 10 years that no one else had found. He did an amazing job! You will be amazed at how professional and thorough John is. I'll never call anyone else.

Excellent!!! John Barks is super knowledgeable, kind, patient, and efficient. He showed up when he said he would and took the time to walk through our yard and talk to us about every question we had. This was time consuming for him because we are not experts at all in the field of water/homes. John is amazing and our dog, Bolt, loved him!! Thank you John.

We had set up an appointment for "noonish". When John didn't call to meet me at noonish, I called and left a message at about 1 pm. He returned my call at about 2 pm. He then informs me that he wouldn't be able to come by until after his dentist appointment at 4 pm, which would mean after 5 pm. I didn't want to inconvenience my tenants with workers after 5 pm on a Friday evening. John asked if he could call me back that evening to reschedule. I said fine, but he never did. Crappy customer service. Best to find out now before paying your going rate of approximately $90 an hour when you don't seem to be able to comprehend "time".

Never happened. Received an estimate ~ 8 days after provider came to look at job. Was told it would be at least 3 weeks but had lots of people to be put into schedule. Sent email 3 weeks later asking when work might happen and have never received a reply. Has no been 7 1/2 weeks since job was first looked at. Hired someone else and job was completed within 1 1/2 weeks. If contractor does not want or need the work should say so up front and not waste customer or his time.

I called on a Thursday and he came out the following Monday.  He quickly diagnosed the problem, had the right parts in his truck, and immediately repaired the valve.  It took only about an hour and the sprinkler system was as good as new, with no further leaking.  He also gave me free advice on improving my lawn, which has already paid off.
