The service went fine. My only concern is that he had a problem showing up on the day we scheduled initially and we had to re-schedule. It was just a little inconvenient for my schedule. They are a one man show. He did what I had expected him to do and did a good job.

We were concerned about dust infiltration into house.

He set up a frame inside open front door covered with plasticized cloth with a hole for the blower fan, secured cloth around fan and started the fan blowing outside creating a negative pressure inside. He went around house with infrared camera finding places where air was leaking in from outside around doors and windows and around heating duct outlets.

He pointed out where weather stripping was leaking around doors and windows. He found that the heating duct outlet registers were leaking and needed to be caulked, and on one that may be leaking in the duct above the ceiling.

He recommended covering the inside of the window frames with clear plastic(the cheapest solution, rather than replacing the windows[ $10,000]). Also, replacing the  leaking door sweeps(under doors) and tightening or replacing door seals. He suggested having the duct work above the ceiling on one heater outlet checked for leaks.

He e-mailed a report early the next day detailing all of his tests and suggestions. 

We felt he did a through job, in an efficient manner, in a short period of time. We are very satisfied with the service and are starting to implement his suggestions.

I bought a big deal for this service and it was good. It was easy to get an appointment for when I wanted them to come out. I believe they were on time, friendly and courteous. It was for my rental property, but I did not hear any complaints from my tenants. I did not deal with them directly, but I understand they did a good job.

It was good.  There was no additional cost.  It was easy to get an appointment when I needed them to come out.  I believe that they were professional, courteous and on time as it was on my rental property; I didn’t hear any complaints from the tenant.  They did a good job from what I understand.

Mr. Walker performed a thorough scan of my home to identify areas where cold air was infiltrating into the house.  The use of a fan set into the front door opening to evacuate air from the house and an infrared scanning device allowed us to find infiltrations that would not otherwise be apparent.  We found that the 20-year old windows weren't so terrible, but a great deal of infiltration was occurring through the skylights.  Very useful information was generated, and well worth the cost.

Adam was right on time and promptly setup the needed equipment to check the kitchen out.  He found the cold air was coming through my latillas in the ceiling - and while it is not a feasible thing to fix it is nice that we now know our options.  Thanks Adam!

Communication was great.  Adam both called and emailed the details of the procedure and times of service.  He arrived on time.  Walked me through the process.  Adam used his equipment to identify trouble spots and gave detailed suggestions on how to fix problems.

Adam installed the blower in the front door to help identify leaks and walked the entire interior of the house to identify any leaks.  He used a thermal FLIR infraCAM Wester camera to identify the leaks and explained what I could do to correct the problems. He was very thorough and explained all the issues that were identified and  explained how to correct the problems.  I would highly recommend him for home energy audits.

Adam came to my house to do an energy audit using a thermal imaging camera. He planned it for a cold morning so he could come early and turn the heat way up in order to detect where heat was escaping. Adam's report was exceptionally useful in some unexpected and very practical ways. I was initially reluctant to use Adam's service, because I figured it would tell me what I already knew from reading the latest general energy efficiency guidelines: Air sealing the attic, adding insulation to the attic, possibly adding rigid foam board insulation to the exterior walls of the house. To my delight, Adam's report showed that I can achieve significant energy efficiency improvements with some relatively inexpensive changes. For example, it turns out that there is a lot of cold air coming in under the doorway between the garage and the house as well as the door to the furnace room in the middle of the house. The solution? Cheap weatherstripping! I would never have guessed. Thanks Adam!

We have lived in this home for 20 years and have put up with how cold it is in the winter and warm in the summer.  Adam confirmed in a stark visual way with the thermal pictures what we thought, our brick walls have no insulation and are the biggest energy drain, accounting for how cold it feels.  Angie's big deal did not include a full report, so we opted to go ahead and pay the difference to get the full color report with recommendations.  It is great to have a list of priority items to improve the efficiency of our home.  We have a plan now.   Adam is very professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with.
