The quality of the work was exceptional. But we had a little bit of a hiccup about, they did some and then left for two weeks and then did all but about 20 feet and then left and didn't come back. I said, "You're messing them." So they finally worked it out and did it. I was a little annoyed at the lack of scheduling but the quality of work was great. 'B' grade was for the scheduling problems. Everything else, they did great. They worked fast when they were here. I called a couple of other places and their price was reasonable. They were quick to come out and quick to give me a date. But then once it started, they just kind of dropped the ball. Sometimes I never knew if they were coming. I specifically had said, "Call me before you come," and they would just show up. They didn't call to check. The guys that did the work weren't in any contact with people who actually were in the company and took the money. They did a great job in some areas and just couldn't get themselves together in other parts.

As is typical for Albuquerque, I share wooden fencing with three neighbors. One of my neighbors took the lead on having the fencing between us replaced, and was leaning toward Valley doing the work, mostly because the neighbor she shared another fence with wanted to go with them. When the salesperson was out giving her and her other neighbor an estimate, I went ahead and got one for the rest of the fencing on my property as well.

In the next week my neighbor decided to go with Valley and scheduled the work. There is a 20' section with a gate that runs from my house and intersects with the common fence, so I immediately called to see if I could add that to the work to be done. Immediately as in the same day my neighbor authorized the work. I only got voicemail, so I left a message, send a memo via e-mail authorizing the separate section of fencing and gate, and sent the same memo via fax (also the same evening). I got no reply, and the next week the work was done on my neighbors yard. As an aside, they just showed up one day and did not call ahead of time to tell her when they were going to do the work.

I share a 100' length of fence with another neighbor who was going to be out of town for another month, so I was not ready to authorize all of the work that needed to be done on my yard before I talked to him. After I did talk to him and he was OK with going with Valley, I left two more voicemails and two more e-mails stating that I wanted to proceed with the rest of the work on my yard. I never heard back.

After reading some of the other reviews, I get the impression that my job wasn't enough money to be worth the trouble for them getting back to me. and quot;No job is too smalland quot; and and quot;we treat them all with the same professionalism, commitment, and follow-throughand quot; should be removed from their web page. It doesn't seem to be true.

I selected Valley Fence with a bid significantly lower than competitors, and couldn't be more happy with the results. The job was to replace approximately 160 feet of 5' wood (cedar) fence and a gate with a 6' fence. Communications were smooth and prompt, mostly by email with the salesman (Joe). There were no surprises with price or scheduling. They arrived on the day scheduled and completed the entire job to remove the old fence and build the new one in just a day and a half! The quality is excellent, exactly what I wanted, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

They were very careful removing our gate and keeping clear of our flower beds. We're very happy with the work they performed and would highly recommend Valley Fence for steel roller gate repair.

I wouldn't use them again. They don't honor their warranty or promises.

I was not aware of the usual contractor practice of paying at least 80% of the job up front. This was not mentioned until late in the negotiations. I wish that the salesperson would have been more aware of our feelings regarding the fact that we didn't call them because we wanted to buy a new fence. To us it was a catastrophe to have our fence blow over in a hard wind and we were pretty upset. She was nice; but not at all sympathetic. The workers were professional and quick.

The workmen were good, but dealing with the company's management was terrible.

Excellent experience start to finish. Called to make appointment for an estimate. The next day a gentlemen came out and measured the fence I needed. At that time he handed me a written estimate, complete with breakdown of material cost, labor cost and tax. Within the next few days a crew came out and did the prep work of digging holes and putting posts in. The next day the fence was in place. Looks great. I also got estimates from three other fence companies, they were all within $100 of Valley Fence. I chose Valley Fence because of the professionalism of the gentlemen who came out to do the estimate.

I DO NOT THINK THIS COMPANY IS IN IT FOR THE MONEY AT ALL. I THINK THE PRICE WAS REALLY REASONABLE. YOU CAN TELL THEY WERE EXPERIENCED. THEY DID THE JOB QUICKLY, AND DID IT EXACTLY LIKE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO.

THEY WERE RELIABLE AND PRODUCED QUALITY WORK FOR ME. THEY WERE FAST, AND THE COST WAS REASONABLE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS WHO ARE IN NEED OF A FENCE.
