I was happy with their service. They were always on time and professional.

Their products are supposedly earth friendly and that’s my reason for using their service. They come several times a year but there’s still weeds popping up everywhere. They do come back if I call, but that’s not the point. I don’t feel that I should have to be calling every time I see weeds growing in treated areas.

I like that their products are earth friendly. They spray -partially spray several times throughout the year. I have called back when weeds were either not sprayed or did not even wilt after 2 weeks. They are very responsive when I have called for a re-spray. They are back fast, however for me that is not the point. More thorough spraying during standard visits may work better. Their products seem very effective and claim to be earth friendly. That’s important for me.

They have upgraded their programs, good services, prices have dropped. I am an happy camper. They come out, love to have an nice yard, not an putting green. Someone comes by, and asked what I do, tell them, pay my water bill, and TruGreen. We have an front yard, and an back yard. We had the German Shepard's have the back yard, and they destroyed the yard, being two good size dogs. I do the front yard, not the back yard. Overall, they went through service turn around, and had to call them to rattle their chains, like where are you, They were going through some sort of employment bull sh,, Everything is fine now. They come out once a month. Spray it, fertilize it, and de-bug it. Aerator for your yard, I don't do. and I haven't had any problem with it. I went away from them for a while years ago, and I called a guy b..... about my yard being brown, yada yada. He told me you don't have to pay me for our services, and hey he heard me. I went back to TruGreen. The yard gets so dry, it takes an ton of water, to make the yard look good. My yard grows two or three inches above the sidewalk, since I have been here.

I just signed up with them. The cost is $600 for one year and they come out nine times which I think is awfully high. They are fine. They were very professional. I am just going to finish the contract and I hope I do not need them anymore. I would call a landscaper instead because I think the landscapers could do just as well for less money.

We signed a contract last year for 2013, covering care of our big trees. By mid-May 2013, we had seen no one. There doesn't seem to be a local office or any human to contact. After working though some old contacts, I finally got a person who said he was the new Albuquerque manager, would take over the office soon, and would contact me. About two weeks later a service person showed up, sprayed trees (and everything else!), dragged his hose all over the yard and pulled up shrubs by their roots.
I reported the damage to our plants and the poor service by the tech, and requested compensation. The manager promised to get in touch, of course, and of course no one has ever contacted me.
The poor service, lack of professionalism, and lack of communication are really astounding. This company has no interest in doing business with the public. I am sending them email terminating the contract, but expect to only keep getting bills -- there is no one to arrange anything with.
Update July 18, 2013: I wish I could predict the stock market this well. Stiil, in mid-July, have not heard anything from the company, but have received another copy of the bill. I will update every month or so. Interested members might want to see this site: http://ecorporateoffices.com/TruGreen-2860. What I want to know now is how to stop them -- there is no way to cancel future services, or terminate the contract. It's just a big machine grinding out bills, scheduling techs, with no human intervention.

I contacted them over the phone in April about getting service and was very specific that I would not give them my credit card number to auto-bill me (I highly recommend you never give anyone that option) and that I wanted to meet with the service tech to see where they were treating. We have a fish pond and some fruit and vegetable plants as well. They assured me that I would be contacted by the tech and that the tech would set up a convenient time for me to me with him.
About a week later I went outside to get the mail and found a "sorry I missed you" note on my door along with a bill saying they had treated my yard. Really? You "missed" me? I was home all day, but you never bothered to ring the doorbell or knock. And how did you treat? Where did you treat? Is it safe for my dogs to walk on? Is it safe for my kids to breathe? Does it need to be watered it? Just great. So I called and they apologized all over the place and promised me that the tech would call me and meet me to show me what he had done.
Nope. A week later, I got a second "sorry I missed you" note with the comment that he saw where we had recently mowed, so he sprayed a larger area this time. Again, I was home all day that day and no one bothered to come to the door. And I still did not know if the back and side yards were treated and if it was safe for my animals, etc. So I called again and decided to cancel. They swore they would have a manager call me, apologized all over the place. Told me I would get a call that day. Two weeks later, still nothing.
So I called to cancel AGAIN and they apologized, said they understood and saw all the times I called to just set up a meeting and it never happened. They said they would send me a bill for one month of service for $40 something. Fine. I got a bill for $100 over the weekend. I called yesterday morning and was told that it was only $40 something a month for yearly service, but that a one time treatment was $100. I pretty much said, "That's not happening, especially since you NEVER did what I contracted for, which was to MEET WITH ME and explain the services."
They tried to say that they would bill my credit card anyway, but I had NOT given them that option. They said a manager would call me back within 24 hours. It's been 28. I am not holding my breath . . .

My last communicaton from TruGreen was on April 22, from their automated system, indicating that my lawn would be serviced on April 23, weather permitting. I was at home all day on April 23, and the weather was fine, but there was no TruGreen technician to be found. I never received a follow-up call to reschedule my service, or to explanin why they didn't show up as indicated. There was no further communication with TruGreen until June 11, when I called to see shy I was being ignored.
I indicated to the very discourteous agent that I spoke to on the telephone, that I wanted to speak with a manager, but was told the manager was at a conference and could not be reached. I was told that my lawn was to have been serviced in May, but I never received a call, nor saw a technician. My lawn now looks the worst it has in the four years I have contracted TruGreen!
I have cancelled my service with TruGreen and will find another company who understands the value of a customer and how to treat them!

You have to break down dealing with TruGreen into two components; the actual service work done by the technician and the interaction with the company itself. Most of the technicians that treated my property were pretty good and wanted to give yu the service that you paid for. However, there were severe glitches - we had a large area in the front yard and back yard that had a fungus problem. TruGreen said they could treat that issue but the tech that showed up was not familiar with what chemical was in what container so he treated the front and back yard with RoundUp. I can attest that this product will kill whatever it touches. To TruGreen's credit they did re-sod the damaged areas but this should not have happened in the first place. My biggest complaint with this company is the scheduling procedure. All scheduling is done through Colorado Springs for the Albuquerque market. We requested Saturday service and TruGreen said that they could do that. However, some months we were scheduled on a week day, some on the Saturday. We were scheduled for Saturday of Memorial Day weekend so we stayed at home all day waiting for service which never showed. I called on Monday only to be told that they don't do service on a holiday weekend. The postcard that we got informing us of the Saturday service and the phone call reminder about the Saturday service was a mistake - sorry about that. Also, all services are charged a pretty high price and if you have two or three things done on a service call you could have $150-200 in charges. Much higher pricing than other service providers in our area.
I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I called Trugreen in the summer of 2012 when we started getting a very strange weed growing in our lawn. They had sprayed the lawn several times before winter but we never saw any improvement on the weeds, I cannot get an answer as to what the weed is and what to do about it.
They constantly call to sell other services. I had them come and do the tree service which was supposed to be a complete check of all the shrubs, bushes and trees. Of particular concern were 2 spanish brooms that appear to be dying. They came and did the tree service and left a card on the door with no notes. I called to find out what the deal with the spanish brooms was. The "expert" called me back and told me to water them more, I said we have been doing that and it does not seem to be helping so his response was to tell me "then don't water them as much". I called the toll free number and complained and was promised a call back but that never happened.
I got a call in early December about more services and I told the guy that I wasn't interested and went through the whole story of why. He told me he would have the regional manager call. Again never heard from them.
This weekend I called a gardening company about doing a yard clean up, tree/bush trimming and while we were looking at everything he asked if I wanted to take a tree out in our back yard when I ask why he said "because its full of bore holes, somethings eating your tree. Upon closer inspection the entire tree is full of holes and its not from a woodpecker.
I would not recommend this company to anyone, their technicians are inept and the managers don't care.

We used Trugreen for several years - from around 2002 until last year. No way to notate that acceptibly in the box above. Over those nine years, we spent about $300 per year, so that's where the $2700 came from.
The "local" office is now in Colorado Springs, but I think when we started with them, there was an office here in Albuquerque. Not 100% sure. Now, they would have you believe they can operate remotely just as effectively as if there was management in Albuquerque. In most cases, that's probably true. We had a couple of issues with personnel who seemed to have insufficient training, but for the most part, we were pleased with the quality of service provided. The deal breaker was when we could no longer schedule their services. We have a small dog who has access to the back yard during the day. We don't want him outside when chemicals are being sprayed on the yard, and since both of us work, Saturday was the only day we could be home to control that. The salesman (way back when) said they could easily accomodate Saturday service, but the local folks said they couldn't do that when I called in response to a tag left on the door saying they couldn't get into the back yard once on a week-day. They would come when they were in the area, and that was the end of that. I told them we'd have to find someone who could accomodate our schedule, and offering no counter proposal or making any effort to find a way to save a customer, their representative asked me to have a nice day and hung up. You would think that they could find a way to accomodate us, but whoever I was talking to had apparently filled their quota for the day and wasn't interested.
In March (I think) of this year, I got another call from Trugreen. They "noticed" I was no longer a customer, and asked why we had stopped their service. I repeated my paragraph above, and told this person if they could guarantee Saturday service, I'd try them again. He said they couldn't do that. Once again, Trugreen amazed me with their lack of marketing skills. Maybe they have all the money they need.

We lost a tree because we didn’t take care of it. Now we have them coming in. I guess I’ll have to wait before I judge whether or not their service is good. In the spring we have a lot of wind. When they come, If there is not enough wind, they can’t spray, which is not their fault. They have a recorded thing they send out to customers about when they would be here and sometimes that doesn’t make it. When you’re ready to leave somewhere, they might show up. It is a little bit inconvenient and they don’t seem to want to follow through with a call or voicemail on the phone. As of now I am ok with it. They come when the wind is there and doesn’t take them long to do it and they are thorough. I will use them at least for the service that I have paid for.

We use them for lawn and trees. They come every six weeks to fertilize the lawn. They were real professional. They come when they say they are going to come. They call us first before coming. Our lawn is done way better than what we had. Their price was good.

Not well. My lawn was treated in the front for "broadleaf" weeds. Maybe my front lawn was nothing but broadleaf weeds, but after several treatments I have hardly any lawn left. The lawn that is left is certainly not of a broadleaf variety. The technician never attempted to discuss with me why my lawn was disappearing or any changes they had in mind for how to treat it. Also, I am unable to be home during the day. When I got advance notice that they were coming, I would have to put my dog in the house for half the day as that as close to an estimated time as I got, either "in the morning" or "in the afternoon". They also however came on occasion without notice and would not treat the back yard. They also gave me only a day notice on occasion and I was unable to make arrangements to put the dog up for only half the day, and my back yard got missed on those visits as well. Incidentally, my back yard is in much better shape than the front now.
