This company is fantastic. We had installed four solar tubes when our home was built. Our regret was that we hadn’t installed more of them. Then came a re-roof, due to hail damage, and we had the perfect opportunity! Both roofing companies that we got estimates from, recommended The Natural Lighting Company for solar tubes. We visited their location, which is a tiny showroom/office, and found that they now offer solar nightlights as well, installed in the solar tubes, which result in tax credits (easily offsetting the extra cost for the nightlight). We ended up getting two additional large solar tubes, having one smaller tube re-located and having nightlights installed in all of the new and most of the existing solar tubes. I can’t tell you how awesome these are! They are just so cool! We have beautiful extra natural light during the day and a soft glow at night to find our way around without turning on any lights. It’s really quite relaxing...nothing harsh to wake you up like having to flip on a light switch. Our cost ended up being around $2400, but keep in mind that we purchased the larger tubes with really pretty frosted covers and had one moved as well...and had nightlights installed in five of them! This cost would have been the same, regardless of the re-roof and was well worth the cost. We love them! Donald and his partner did a beautiful job with the installation and we couldn’t be happier. Brooke was great too during several email questions. We highly recommend this company and their product. Our only regret is not having them do it sooner!

We are extremely pleased with our new daylights and nightlights! There are so many good things to say. They have taken a dark and often dreary interior of our home and brought new life to it. As someone who suffers from Seasonal Affected Disorder (SAD) in the fall and winter, I look forward to how this natural lighting with easy those symptoms. And the nightlighting in all 7 units was certainly the way to go for us. It adds texture to the spaces in the evening and increased safety to the spaces overnight. Don and Tim are awesome. What could have been an extremely messy proposition was managed with great care to assure that our home was left a clean as they found it. Minimum noise allowed us to also have a productive day teleworking while they went about their jobs. We look forward to add more solar tubes down the road and wouldn’t dream of calling anyone but you!

It was easy and there wasn't any mess. The systems they use for natural lighting are energy efficient and really light up my two living areas. The plants love it too. They coordinated everything with my roofer so I had minimal hassle. The installation took far less time than I planned and there was zero mess afterward. As a plus, the guys are real animal lovers and my fur buddies knew it.

Don and his crew were on time, every time. They surprised us by adding an LED nightlight feature that significantly extends the value and usefulness. They coordinated schedules with our roofers. And -- this is always a pleasant surprise -- they left the worksite far cleaner than they found it. I not only would hire them again, but I've recommended them to everyone I know who might want their products and services. They set a standard by which all other contractors should match.

They were great. They were only here two or three hours. Much of the time was spent determining the placement of the skylights, a decision based on not only my preferences but structural and mechanical system placement in the attic and on the roof. The skylights include nightlights, which I love. They were professional throughout, cleaned up completely. I recommend them without hesitation.

It was great, start to finish, from the "How may I brighten your day?" greeting through the installation both the inside the house part and up on the roof part. All took place while my house was being re-roofed, which I found was an excellent time to install solatubes. I added a third one at the last minute, and Natural Lighting accommodated fully.

Submitted an email inquiry to their website. The response was quick and informative. They invited me to come by their show room and look at the installed product. After visiting the show room we scheduled a house call for an estimate. After agreeing on the configuration and price, they coordinated directly with the roofing company. Work was completed on time and equipment supplied was as requested. Solatubes are a great product and the Natural Lighting Company was extremely professional and easy to work with. I mentioned Angieslist and received a small discount. I did not price shop or look at any competing products. I would definitely recommend and/or use this company again.

After viewing The Natural Lighting Co. display at the Albuquerque Home and Garden Show, my husband and I went to the showroom and discussed options with Brooke. Don came to our house to answer questions and give us an estimate. Don and his assistant arrived as scheduled for installation. They did a superb job and consulted me regarding the exact location of each fixture. I had expected a lot of dust to settle throughout the house, but Don and his assistant set up each work site in such a way that the dust was confined to the tarp they positioned in each area, and they took care of all of the cleanup. The Solatube systems brightened our house beyond our expectations! Now we rarely need to use lights in the rooms that previously had little or no natural light!

All in all it went very well with this company. They are responsive and helped us work out the problems we had with the placement of the solatubes in 2 areas - (roofers did not follow instructions), but that got resolved and communication between myself and employees went very well. They are professional, hard-working, and I love our natural lighting.

The whole process went very smoothly. From the initial estimate, to coordinating with our roofer as we were installing a new roof to the final installation. We worked with Don who was very professional and answered every question we had. We are very pleased with the final results. One of the solatubes replaced an old skylight that was 2 foot by 4 foot and although the solatube is much smaller it actually provides more light than the old skylight.

Very professional and meticulous. Always prompt and professional. Helped with deciding products and best placement of the Solatubes.
The PRODUCT (Solatube) is exceptionally high quality. They filter out UV rays and do not allow heat to enter, but provide an excellent natural daylight to otherwise dark areas of the home. These are especially useful during the short days of winter when it is difficult to get enough sunlight. Due to their unique design they gather sunlight whatever the angle of the sun, whatever time of year. The light is diffused and softened, without being harsh.
The installers were efficient and helpful.
This is a family/locally owned business and they earn and deserve our business.

From the estimate visit, the showroom and install, I was impressed with their professionalism, explanation of every detail and options available. The install was fast and no mess. Tarps were spread in all the areas they would be working on, taped plastic around the area to be opened and got to work. The install went relatively fast with no mess. They also made sure I liked the fixtures. I love the light in my house.

- The owners themselves, Brooke and Don (husband and wife) came out on a weekend to provide us with an estimate. Although our house has a pitched roof, it had formerly been a flat roofed structure, which made calculations for placement of the skylight a bit tricky. But Don was very exacting in his measurements and calculations and found a suitable placement position, taking into consideration the location of rafters of the two separate roof structures as well as our heating and cooling vent works.
- Their estimate seemed quite reasonable and we made arrangements for the installation. Because we had also contracted with a roofing company to re-roof our house, Don made the initial cut into our roof, temporarily installed part of the skylight on the roof, and covered the top of the tube with plastic. (Our roofer had agreed to complete that portion of the project).
- Although Natural Lighting (apparently very much in demand for their services) initially scheduled the completion of the project for several weeks out, we later received a call from the company advising us they could do the job a couple of weeks earlier than previously scheduled. Everything worked out well as they called just as our new roof was getting its finishing touches.
- Don and his assistant, Tim, arrived promptly and completed the job. They worked together very professionally and meticulously. With a drop cloth on the dining room floor and a plastic shroud surrounding the work space from ceiling to floor, they were careful not to leave any remnant of their project behind, with the exception of an attractive and fully functional display of . . . natural lighting!
